VODAFONE TEXTING PROMOTION - TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. COMPETITION DETAILS:
START DATE: Friday 27th March 2015
END DATE: Monday 30th March 2015
DRAW DATE: Tuesday 31st March 2015
a) For a valid entry, registered Vodafone & Inkk users are required to text the entire phrase “TOSO
VITI” to 3590;
b) Every text entry Costs $0.99 (VIP).
c) Texts that do not contain the entire phrase “TOSO VITI” will not be a valid entry.
d) Also texts are not case sensitive.
2. CONDITIONS TO PRIZES FOR VODAFONE & INKK USERS
a) Competition Prize: $500CASH
b) Restriction to Entry (Clause 3) will also apply to claiming of Prizes, where applicable. In case of any
conflict with this Clause and Clause 3, the terms in this Clause shall prevail.
c) Prize is non-negotiable and non-transferrable.
d) Prizes are redeemable at Fiji Television Limited, 20 Gorrie Street, Suva.
e) Fiji TV reserves the right to verify the details of the Winner before the prize is handed over.
f) If Prizes are not collected within 28 days of notification, the prizes are forfeited and revert to Fiji
Television Limited.
3. RESTRICTION TO ENTRY:
a) NUMBER OF TEXT ENTRIES: No restriction on number of Competition Text entries per mobile
number.
b) AGE RESTRICTION: The competition shall be open to all age groups. Minors require parental consent
before texting in to the Competition. Fiji TV or Vodafone will not be responsible for minors sending
in Competition Texts without parental consent. In order for Minors to receive prizes, signed Parental
Consent forms attached to are required.
c) STAFF & IMMEDIATE FAMILY RESTRICTION: Fiji TV and Vodafone staff (including immediate family
of staff) CANNOT participate in the Competition.
d) Competition Texts received after the End Date will not be considered for the draw and costs of text
forfeited. Fiji TV and Vodafone shall not liable for any costs or reimbursements of texts sent after
the end of the End Date. For avoidance of doubt, any texts received on or after 12:00:01 midnight
on 30th March 2015 will not be accepted.
4. DECLARING A WINNER:
a) The winning Vodafone/Inkk Number will be declared following a random pick from a database of
Vodafone/Inkk numbers participating in the competition and subject to valid entries made as per
Clause 1(a).
b) The winning Vodafone/Inkk Number will be declared within 24 hours from the close of
competition/program.
c) The process of selecting a Winner will be carried out transparently by Fiji TV’s Compliance Unit.
5. MODIFICATION OF TERMS & CONDITIONS: Fiji TV reserves the right to revise the terms and
conditions at any time with notice to participants on the Fiji TV website. Any such revision shall be
binding and effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms and Conditions on the Fiji TV
Website: www.fijitv.info
6.
GOVERNING LAW: This Agreement, and any dispute arising from the relationship between the
participants of any of Fiji TV and Vodafone users, shall be governed by the Republic of the Fiji laws,
excluding any laws that direct the application of another jurisdiction’s laws.
7.
INDEMNITY: Participants and/or winners agree and covenant to indemnify and hold harmless Fiji
TV their servants, agents, employees, partners and licensors and all other affiliated companies or
persons from any loss or expense (including reasonable attorney fees and expenses), or damage
occasioned by any suit, claim, demand, recovery or settlement arising out of any violation or
alleged violation of any of the representations, warranties or covenants made herein.
8.
PLANNED PUBLICITY: Participants and/or winners agree to participate in any planned publicity in
connection with this Competition and consent to the use of their name, likeness, image or
photograph for any and all programming and/or publicity promotion or advertising purposes,
commercial or otherwise, in all media and formats used by us or our agencies, without further
compensation, throughout the entire world in perpetuity.
9.
TERMINATION: Fiji TV specifically reserves the right to terminate, cancel, suspend and/or modify
the Competition if any fraud, virus or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security,
safety or proper play of the Competition, as determined by Fiji TV in its sole discretion.
10. FORCE MAJEURE: Fiji TV shall not be responsible any Force Majeure event (i.e. by reason of any
act(s), event(s), omission(s) or accident(s) beyond the reasonable control of Fiji TV).
PARENTAL/GUARDIAN CONSENT
In consideration for Minor being permitted to enter and participate in the “Vodafone Hong Kong 7s 2015 Texting
Promotion”
(“Competition”)
described
in the
Terms
&
Conditions
attached
hereto,
I,
_______________________________ as parent/legal guardian of _______________________________ (“Minor”),
hereby consent to Minor’s entry and participation in the Competition.
1.
I understand and agree that Minor will be required to submit his/her name, age, contact information as part of
his/her entry and, if Minor is selected as a Winner in connection with this Competition and it will be made
public on Fiji Television Limited’s (Fiji TV) media platform.
2.
By my signature, I give my permission to allow the above named Minor to enter and participate in the
Competition, and I hereby release, discharge and absolve Fiji TV, its affiliates, partners, promotion and
interactive agencies and any other entities which are involved in administering this Competition, and each of
their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns,
employees, officers and directors:
(i) from any and all liability,
(ii) for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage,
personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or
participation in Competition,
(iii) from possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Competition-related or
prize-related activity and
(iv) for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement
(including claims under state law moral rights provisions, as applicable), trademark infringement or any
other intellectual property-related cause of action,
which I or Minor, or either or our heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, had, now have or hereafter may
have, by reason of any matter connected in any way with the above named Minor’s entry and participation in
the Competition.
3.
I sign this document to signify my agreement and that of Minor to the terms hereto and to the Competition
Terms & Conditions located at Fiji Television Limited website: www.fijitv.info.
4.
I will accept, as applicable, any award attributable to Minor’s entry (see Competition Terms & Condition 7.2)
and I hereby agree to execute any additional form(s) that may be required with regard to Minor’s participation
in the Competition and understand and agree that any failure to do so will result in disqualification of Minor in
the Competition.
5.
I have read this entire Parental Consent, fully understand its contents and agree to the contents thereof.
