As 2015 is the 100th year of the ANZAC landing in Gallipoli, the Federation Management
Committee have decided to conduct a pigeon race to commemorate the ANZAC soldiers
and the pigeons that served in this war and in both World Wars.
This race will also provide a means of raising money for the Legacy Foundation to help in
the great work that they provide in assisting the families affected by the horrors of war.
Race Details
1. Date: Saturday 11th July 2015
2. Race Point: 1st Eden (approximate distance 370 km)
3. Entry Fee: $25.00 for a five (5) per nomination, any age, from within your total race team
4. Time in the 1st two pigeons (as per the Fred Wall)
5. Breakup of entry fee: 50% towards prize money, 50% donated to Legacy
6. Section Prize Money Only. Special Merit Card Certificates to Section Prize Winners
7. Trophy and Special Merit Certificate to the Overall Winner
8. Basketing and Ring – off in your own club room
9. Entries must be clearly marked on your race entry sheet
10. Payment due on the night of basketing
11. List of flyers and entries to be forwarded to the Federation on basketing night
12. Results must be posted on the CCF website on ring-off night
The Federation Management is seeking sponsorship for this event from outside of the
Federation and from each club. Individual members of the Federation are asked to get on
board and support this great cause and to help celebrate the Centenary of ANZAC.
