Charlotte Center City Partners does not have control over the televising of the Parade and cannot be held responsible in any
way if a participating unit does not appear on television, or a unit’s name is not mentioned, or if for any reason a unit does not
receive any publicity as a result. Similarly, it is understood that, as the Parade is a “live to tape” broadcast, circumstances could
ensue which could prevent WBTV from televising all or part of a unit’s performance, and, thus cannot hold WBTV or Charlotte
Center City Partners responsible in any way if a participating unit does not appear on television, or a unit’s name is not
mentioned, or if for any reason a unit does not receive any publicity as a result.

APPLICATION FORM
HIGH SCHOOL MARCHING
BAND COMPETITION
Registration & Eligibility:
The 2015 Novant Health Thanksgiving Day Parade Marching Band Competition is
limited to High School bands only. Entry is open to all high school marching bands
that include traditional composition of instrumentation (woodwinds, brass, and
percussion) and auxiliary units (flags, dancers, majorettes, rifles, letter girls, and
pompom girls). High school marching bands interested in participating in the
competition must register for the Parade to be considered for judging comments,
awards, stipends, prize money, and any other items of recognition and participation.
Awards:
1st place
$4,000 prize money and a one of a kind trophy
2nd place
$3,000 prize money and a trophy
3rd place
$2,000 prize money and a trophy
All other participating bands will receive a certificate.
