Firefly Run Atlanta Race Guide Packet Pick-‐Up (June 12, 2015) At Packet Pick-‐up, you can pick up your bib, shirt, LED lights, & goodies prior to the race so you can spend more time hanging out with friends the day of. Lots of cool running gear and special discounts are also available at Road Runner Sports. So unless you live far away or are coming from another state, be sure to pick up your packet before the race! Can I pick up packets for friends? Yes, you’ll need their confirmation e-‐mails or a copy of their ID’s and their T-‐shirt size. Note* If you selected the mailing option, you will receive your packet by Thursday, June 11th. Race-‐Day (June 13, 2015) Where is the race held at? Piedmont Park 1320 Monroe Dr NE Atlanta, GA 30306 What time does the race start? 7:45PM What time should I be there? Our venue opens at 5:30PM. Unless you like to sit in traffic, please plan to arrive early! Stretch, hang out with your friends, prep your glow gear, and get ready to have fun! I live super far away. Can I pick-‐up my packet/s at the race? Absolutely, but you may have to stand in line for a while. Will there be gear-‐check at the race? Gear check will be made available for your convenience. However, we will NOT be held liable for ANY lost items so leave your valuables at home or carry it with you. Do I need to check-‐in at the race if I’ve already picked up my packets? No; once you have your bib, shirt, and glow items, you’re ready! Have fun & stop worrying. J Where can I pick up the extra merchandise I purchased online? Hopefully you received it at packet pick-‐up, but if not, there will also be a Merchandise Tent at the race. Have your first and last name ready or a copy of your receipt to get your glow on. Parking information Parking around Piedmont Park is LIMITED. Please plan to park in the Piedmont Park parking deck on Monroe Drive, or park in the parking lots in the midtown area, and walk to the event site in Piedmont Park at 10th Street and Charles Allen Drive. Parking on the neighborhood streets in the vicinity of Piedmont Park is strongly discouraged, since many of the streets around the park are designated "Resident Parking Only" and require a parking sticker. City of Atlanta actively enforces these regulations during events, and will issue tickets. We encourage participants to take MARTA to the 10th Street station, and walk east the 8 blocks to Piedmont Park. Everyone’s safety is our #1 priority. Please review the following: • Strollers are welcome, but please be sure to line up at the BACK of the START LINE • Running with kiddos? Be sure to keep them close throughout the run. • We expect a lot of Runners at this event. Once you cross the FINISH LINE, please keep moving throughout the chute and into the after-‐party. We must keep this area clear for emergency vehicles. FRIENDLY REMINDERS -‐ Respect each other. This all about fun! -‐ Dispose of all trash in bins.
