CYF Conference Camp Christian is often referred to as a little slice of heaven on earth, and is the highlight of the summer for hundreds of youth across the state, and even from out of state. It is a week of rekindling old friendships, creating new ones, Bible study, deep and engaging discussions, fun, and drawing closer to God. This year several from our church will be attending camps at Camp Christian. Two young men, Christopher Falcione and Pete Fletcher, along with Jack Veatch who will serve as a counselor, will be at CYF Conference #2 this week. Please hold them in your prayers, praying that God’s presence will be seen and felt in a new and profound way, that they deepen their relationship with God their Creator and Christ their Savior, that they build relationships that give them the assurance that they are not the only ones who live lives of faith in a world that seems to implore them to live otherwise. May these be our prayers for them all, and may their time in that little slice of heaven be life changing. And while holding them in your prayers, why not drop them a quick little “snail-mail” note while they are at Camp. Getting mail while at camp is kind of a big deal and a fun thrill. Be sure to mail early! The address is: Camper’s Name Camp Christian 10335 Maple Dell Road Marysville, OH 43040 Spoon River Cast News On Sunday, July 12, the cast of Spoon River Anthology will provide summer music at Bailey Road Christian Church. We were invited by Kim (Eppley) Medellin, who is choir director there. We’re excited to share some music from our summer show with our friends there! The following Sunday, July 19, the cast of Spoon River will lead worship here at FCC Stow, with music and monologues that speak of caring for each other, giving and blessing, acceptance, and the church. Both 8:30 and 10:00 worship will take place in the Sanctuary on July 19. Costuming the Cast We could use a variety of items for costuming and props. Items we are looking for are hankies, vests, bowties, brooches, medical bag or black bag, parasol, suspenders, silk flowers, lengths or scraps of lace and feathers or similar items. We need these items by next Sunday, July 12. Please see Cathy Vanik or Kathy Gustafson if you can help, or call the church office at 330-688-4450. Thank you! BACK TO SCHOOL TIME IS ALMOST HERE! That is hard to believe, isn’t it? But it’s true. Shortly, all the stores will have large displays of back to school necessities. World Outreach would like to encourage you to pick up extra supplies to share with children helped through Good Neighbors. Pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, rulers, crayons, markers are just a few of the items. Check the display stand for a full list. Thank you for your support helping the children, Your World Outreach Team Office Closed Monday The church office will be closed on Monday, July 6 in observation of Independence Day. Please leave any messages for staff on their voicemail (330-688-4450). In an emergency you may call any staff member or elder.
