Victor V. Coppola, CEO, PI Associates
There was an article in the Palm Beach Post recently about employees who are
“destructive heroes”: they are high performers but their prima donna behavior
destroys employee morale and in the end, causes more problem than help to the
business. It is increasingly difficult to find talented and qualified professionals so it is
important to make good choices. Topics in this talk will include: goals and tactics;
definition of job profile and winning ads; recruiting “A” players; behavioral questions
and other steps to improve outcomes of interviews; best practices – recruiting and
retention; establishing goals and metrics, and more.
Vic Coppola is CEO of PI Associates, a consulting firm focused on helping
enterprises maximize the benefits of their most valuable resource: people. He has
assisted growing, changing and restructuring enterprises to develop solutions to
human resource, financial and business challenges. Vic provides expertise and
counsel for people decisions, executive coaching and recruiting, strategic planning,
sales and managing change.
Vic was a Partner with Price Waterhouse Coopers for 20 years. As National
Chairman of Middle Market Business Services, he directed programs and training for
the Firm’s 100 domestic offices. Vic has extensive experience with private and public
companies in a variety of enterprises helping prepare startups, entrepreneurial rapidgrowth and venture capital-backed companies go public and for other major
