You have just qualified for the 2014 Cadet Dual Championships, which will be held in the Expo Center, Utz Arena in York, PA. You have the opportunity to represent Team Florida. The cost of the trip package is $570. This amount will cover a three-day preparatory & intensive training camp held at Coral Spring High School, Coral Springs June 6 through June 8. You will need food money for the camp. Approximately $15-$20 per day, breakfast is included. We will be leave for York, PA on the morning on the 9th of June, Transportation will be provided. Wrestlers will be required to bring their own food money for meals in York, PA. You should be able to eat for about $20.00 - $25.00 per day. All tournament entry fees, hotel and ground transportation will be included in the price of the trip package. The trip package also includes a custom designed uniform package, which will consist of a Red and a Blue singlet, performance tee, tee shirt, shorts, and a backpack. NO ONE WILL BE PERMITTED IN CAMP WITHOUT FULL PAYMENT. A $400.00 is due by May 19th and your final payment is due no later than June 5, 2015. You should have received an email with the directions. A 501c3, Florida Non-Profit Corporation The Official State Association of USA Wrestling General Rules of Conduct The rules for a Florida wrestler at the Team Florida Cadet Duals trip that must be complied with completely are as follows: 1) The purpose of the camp is to prepare Florida’s top wrestlers for Cadet National Duals Championships in York, PA. All activities for this camp are geared toward optimal preparation for the tournament. Attendance and respectful behavior towards coaches and teammates are mandatory for each session. Absences for injury or illness must be coordinated directly with Shawn Sheldon. Do not rely on a roommate, teammate or friend to pass along any excuse or message of absence. If you are contacted or become aware of a family emergency while on the trip, you are responsible for communicating with your Team Leader to make arrangements to accommodate your situation. 2) No partaking of illegal drugs at any time while at the Team Florida trip. Any substantiated report of such action on the grounds or out of camp or hotel, will result in immediate dismissal. 3) No partaking of alcoholic beverages at any time while on the Team Florida trip. Any substantiated report of such action on the grounds or out of camp (this includes nights out) will result in immediate dismissal. 4) No pornographic material of any type is allowed on the trip. Any substantiated report of possession of said material will result in punishment. If action persists, dismissal will follow. 5) No smoking, dipping, or chewing of any tobacco products are allowed while on the Team Florida trip. Any substantiated report of such action on the grounds or out of camp will result in punishment. If action persists, dismissal will follow. 6) No use of obscenity, profanity or hazing will be tolerated. Any substantiated report of such behavior will result in punishment. If action persists, dismissal will follow. 7) No vandalism or defacement of the hotel or hotel’s property will be tolerated. Any substantiated report of such behavior will result in immediate dismissal. 8) No petit thievery or larceny of any kind is permitted. Any substantiated reports of shoplifting or the theft of another's uniform or equipment will result in immediate dismissal. 9) All activities of the trip will take place at Coral Springs High School, the La Quinta Inn & Suites, the Holiday Inn Express in York, PA. Athletes are expected to be on these sites for the entire trip. Trip members may use the retail and food establishments along the strip mall next to hotel in Coral Springs but may not go more than ¼ mile away from this strip of retail and eating establishments. No visitors (individuals not participating in the camp or tourney) will be allowed in athletes’ rooms. We are the state affiliate of USA Wrestling; the national governing body in our nation for the sport of amateur wrestling. This organization is dedicated to serving the wrestling community of Florida. Each year we provide the opportunity for Florida athletes to attend these national events and are responsible for their coaching, transportation, uniforms, housing, meals, entry fees and a training camp in preparation for the trips.
