Saskatchewan Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) believes the best chance at providing excellent service without increasing the cost of doing business is through installing a management practice of continuous improvement. WCB premium rates are the lowest they have been for decades and without a financial burning platform, installing continuous improvement has been a challenge but WCB is continuously learning. Since joining WCB in 2009, Catherine has been involved in a number of process improvement projects including redesign of the claims process, and improvements to the technology enhancement process and information reporting process. Catherine received her Bachelor of Commerce degree through the University of Saskatchewan and has since completed certificates in Operational Excellence (Edwards School of Business), Project Management (Edwards School of Business) and Change Management (Prosci). As well as being an expert in process improvement, Catherine has training in public speaking from Toastmasters International, where she is currently serving a term as Division Governor. She has facilitated decision making for groups large and small, from front-line to Executive team members. She has led and coached teams of all sizes.
