kids safe and as dry as possible.
If the child is normally picked up
at the Totem Pole, he/she can be
picked-up in the Media Center
on Rainy Days.

We would like to remind you that
the grassy area along Ola Avenue
in front of our school is a NoParking Zone. Cars should not be
parked in this area.
Cars may be parked in a parking
spots along School Street (not behind cars), Adams Parking Lot,
and Forest Hills Presbyterian
Church. Students may be dropped
off along School Street in the carrider line from 7:30-8:00.
Students should not be
dropped off on Ola. Ave.

Braves and the Forest Hills Media Center.
Some of the ac vi es happening this month
include observing Poetry Month, with our an‐
nual Poetry for Posters Contest, and cele‐
bra ng Library Media Month, with special
centers and displays. Instruc on in Informa on
Literacy and Digital Ci zenship con nue
throughout the month also. All students are
guided to know how to be safe online and
good digital ci zens.

April is School Library Month! Research shows that the highest
achieving students a end schools with good library media
centers. It's easy to see why. Everyday, school library media
specialists come together with teachers to help students
develop the informa on searching skills they need to suc‐
ceed both in school and throughout their lives. The school
library is the place where students can come together with
new ideas, their favorite books and to study with friends.

en nuestra caja de objetos perdidos. Si su
hijo ha perdido algo, por favor haga que
él / ella visite nuestra caja de objetos
perdidos
Nos gustaría recordarles que la zona de
césped a lo largo de Ola Avenue en frente
de la escuela es una zona de exclusión de
aparcamiento. Los coches no se deben
estacionar en esta zona. Podrá aparcar
su vehículo en una plaza de aparcamiento
(no detrás de los coches), el aparcamiento
de Adams Parking , y Forest Hills Presby‐
terian Church. Los
estudiantes se
pueden dejar a lo largo de la calle de la
Escuela en la línea de coches de 7: 30‐8:
00. Los estudiantes no deben ser dejados
en Ola. Avenue. Esto es por la seguridad

Abril es un mes muy ocupado para nuestros alumnus de Forest Hills y la biblioteca.
Algunas de las actividades que tienen lugar
este mes incluyen: la observación de Mes de
la Poesía (con nuestra poesía anual de
Concurso de cartels), y la celebracion de el
Mes de bibliotecas. La enseñanza de la
alfabetización informacional y Ciudadanía
Digital continuara durante todo el mes
también. Todos los estudiantes son guiados
para aprender cómo ser ciudadanos
seguros.

Abril es el Mes de la Biblioteca Escolar! Estudios muestran que los
estudiantes que han alcanzado altos niveles en sus estudios,
asisten a escuelas con buenos centros de medios de la biblioteca.
Es fácil ver por qué. Todos los días, especialistas de la biblioteca de
la escuela se reúnen con los maestros para ayudar a los
estudiantes a desarrollar las habilidades de búscar información
que necesitan para tener éxito en la escuela y durante toda su
vida. La biblioteca de la escuela es el lugar donde los estudiantes
pueden reunirse con nuevas ideas, sus libros favoritos y estudiar
con los amigos. La Biblioteca de Forest Hills: donde los estu‐
diantes, los profesores y las ideas vienen juntos. Visítenos pronto!
Estaremos colaborando con el Sistema de Bibliotecas Públicas para
crear un programa de lectura de verano emocionante para sus
