The front of the parish will have a new look within the next few weeks. Our
church sign will soon be replaced by a newer one, and a few of our trees
will be removed. My hope is that our curb appeal will increase, causing
more people to turn their heads as they pass by Christ the King.
El frente de la parroquia tendrá una nueva vista en las próximas semanas. Pronto
reemplazaremos el anuncio de nuestra iglesia por uno nuevo, y cortaremos

Next weekend is also our Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA) kickoff. We’ll talk
about our community’s role in supporting the ministry of the Diocese of
Columbus, as well as the ways in which the BAA helps us achieve some
of our goals as a parish. In your prayers, please begin discerning how you
will participate in this year’s BAA. I thank you in advance for your
generosity.

Answer to last week’s question: In 2012 Americans had “extra” time to file
their taxes. April 15 fell on a Sunday, and April 16 was Emancipation Day
in the District of Columbia. That meant that taxpayers were able to file their
taxes on Tuesday, April 17.

at our church from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our Eucharistic Lord awaits

Spring Fest 2015 is this Saturday, April 25, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Women’s Club is asking parish members to provide desserts for
Spring Fest. Cookies, cakes, or pies are requested. Desserts can be
delivered to the parish office on Friday, April 24, from 9:00 a.m. to noon, or
to the school gym that evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., or on Saturday,
April 25, between 8:30 a.m. and noon.

with BREAD, we are trying to address three main issues: the lack of
identification for immigrants, limited options for mental healthcare, and

in Columbus and Franklin County! Join us on Monday, May 4, on the Ohio
State Fairgrounds for BREAD’s Nehemiah Action. Thousands of people

Registration for Parish School of Religion (PSR) and the Rite of
Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) has begun. We ask that all first
through eighth graders of the parish who do not attend a Catholic school
participate in PSR. Adults who would like to receive Baptism, First
Communion, and/or Confirmation in the Church are encouraged to join the

All registration forms must be turned in by July 31. No registrations will be
accepted after July 31.

Our next big community event will be our second annual Food Truck
Fest on Friday, May 22. We will have up to ten food trucks from around
the city, a beer truck for adults, and entertainment for the kids. All the
proceeds will go toward the facility needs of the school.
