Deadline:
Registration must be received by 1800 hours Friday, June 5th.
OnLine, Mail and Email registrations will be accepted until the
deadline, BUT not recognized until signed entry, PHRF form are
presented and payment is made prior to start, or boat will not be
allowed to race.
Rules:
This Regatta will be governed by the 2013-2016 Racing Rules of
Sailing, the Prescriptions of US Sailing, the Notice of Race and the
Sailing Instructions.
Sailing Instructions:
Sailing Instructions and Scratch Sheet will be available after 1800
hours Saturday evening, and on Sunday morning at the clubhouse,
and from a Race Committee boat in the starting area on Sunday
morning. RC boats will be bearing a blue or yellow ‘RC’ flag. RC
boats and the club monitor Channel 72.
Starting Area:
Somewhere in Niantic Bay depending on wind and current conditions.
First Warning:
Sunday, June 7 at 1100 hrs.
Courses:
Course(s) will be selected immediately prior to the race and will be
signaled in accordance with the sailing instructions. Scoring will be
PHRF “time-on-time” and if more than one race; Appendix A low
points EXCEPT no throw outs.
Classes & Handicaps:
Yachts must meet ESCA Offshore eligibility requirements as listed on
page 78 of the 2015 ECSA Yearbook. Participants will be assigned
to classes at the discretion of the Race Committee using PHRFECSA divisions and ratings. There will be both Spinnaker and NonSpinnaker classes and a separate class for Ensigns.
Boats must be equipped in accordance with the regulations of ECSA
Offshore Circuit and PHRF‐ECSA. A copy of your ECSA‐PHRF rating
certificate must accompany this form or be available online at
www.ecsa.net.
