Awesome God, we are thankful that we can gather this day to worship You. We are thankful
that You have called each of us to be Your disciples in the world. We are thankful for this
Easter season where we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. May our worship today reflect
our gratitude to You. Amen.

Pastor: Colin and Mika, it has been a blessing to get to know you and watch you mature. We
send you off now with our best wishes for success, well being, and joy. We pray that you
continue to look to God for guidance in whatever decisions you have to make in life whether
it be what career to pursue or where to live or who to marry. We are thankful for the time we
had with you here at this church. Now others who care for you have some words to say. We
ask for each group to stand before they speak.
Families of Departing Seniors: We have watched you grow, gaining skills and
understanding. We see you now ready to face new challenges. As you enter young
adulthood, our love goes with you.
Adults in Congregation: By growing up among us, you have enriched this beloved
community. We welcome you to this new time in your life’s journey. For your many gifts, for
your vision and your energy, for your questions and your challenges, for the hopes you carry

Thank You ~ We would like to thank all our friends at First Presbyterian Church for their thoughts
and prayers as my friend Fran Cassidy underwent cancer surgery last month. The surgery went
very well and the oncology report shows a low risk of the cancer returning. Once again –

Friendship Dinner ~ Our next Friendship Dinner is Sunday, April 19, from 5-6:30 pm. The menu
will feature; chicken salad, desserts and beverages. Everyone is welcome.

Baby Shower ~ Everyone is invited to a baby shower honoring Cade Elwood Morris; son of
Jackie (Christensen) Morris, grandson of Barb Christensen, great-grandson of Lois Tiffany, on
Sunday, April 26, from 2-4 pm, in the church dining room.

Bible Study ~ Anyone & Everyone… Men & Women… Young & Old… Bible study will start back
up again on May 20 at 9 am. We will meet Wednesdays at 9 am, a schedule will be made our first
night. We will study the book “A Complaint Free World” by Will Bowen. Contact Pam if you have
any questions or to sign up!

Summer Camp ~ It is never to early to start planning Summer Camp for the kids!!! We already
have some kids planning to go the first week in June and the week of June 21!!! Through a
very wonderful generous donation we have a Camp Fund here at the Church that will pay for kids
of our Congregation to experience the adventures of Summer Camp. We have two Presbyterian
Camps in our area: Clearwater Forest Camp and Lakeshore Center at Okoboji. For more

Rummage Sale ~ Our Annual Rummage Sale is set for June 11-13. Mark your calendars and
think of us when you are doing your spring cleaning!

VBS ~ VBS planning has begun. Once again we will be joining with the Alliance Church, the
Evangelical Free church and the United Methodist church to have a great week of learning and
fun! The dates are June 14-18. If you are interesting in teaching, leading crafts, helping with
snacks or helping in other ways, please talk with Pam.
