WOODWAY, in close cooperation with the Institute for Cardiology
and Sports Medicine at the German Sport University, Cologne developed the Professional-Performance-System (PPS) with the unique,
worldwide patented slat-belt treadmill technology.
Unlike ordinary flat-belt friction treadmills, the WOODWAY slatted running surface
glides over precision ball
bearings with lateral guide
rails. This design has, in addition to almost complete shock
absorption, important functional, technical and financial
advantages.

The smooth and slip free drive, as well as the slatted running surface

The Desmo, Mercury and PPS Sport
Desmo
The Desmo model with a new US design is the successor of the treadmill legend PPS 55 Sport, which since its launch worldwide received
attention. The strong design and simultaneous user-friendliness is
the perfect completion to your sports facility.
Mercury
The Mercury model is the little brother of the Desmo. The successor
to the PPS 43 Sport, the Mercury shines with multi-purpose functions, brilliant optics and thanks to its 43cm running surface, is the
space saving alternative.
PPS Sport
The PPS Sport model captivates through its European design. It is
available in widths of 43, 55 and 70cm. Before the launch of the US
Sport series, the PPS 55 Sport was the most preferred and most often sold slat-belt treadmill in the world.
Special Models ELG, Force and Blade
ELG
The ELG/XELG is the standard treadmill for high performance ergometry. It was especially developed with the sports scientist in mind and
includes many additional features for this reason.
Force
A speed, strength and endurance system, that under professional
consultation was developed especially for performance analyses in
performance sports.
The central focus of this non-motorized treadmill is the free moving
slat-belt running surface, which the runner himself brings into motion. Through the integrated magnetic braking system, a resistance
in the range of 7 – 70 kg can be created.
Analyze all phases of training, identify the fitness condition, the
progress of your athletes and even further information.
The Force model 2.0 and 3.0 come equipped with additional strengthsensors to carefully analyze gait patterns and performance tests to
the smallest detail.
Blade
The Blade will improve the performance and technical skills of your
athletes through special skating training methods. Because of its
size, the Blade is the only ice-skating treadmill that makes it possible
to do free movement maneuvers. Whether crossovers or skating in
the corner area, the athlete can train efficiently and optimally so that
his power and performance while skating can be realized (also with
inclination). Through the oval carry- and suspension system from
WOODWAY, swapping athletes can be perfectly simulated.
The Blade uses WOODWAY’s proven, ballbearing slat-belt treadmill
technology that equips the training center with a dependable and almost maintenance free system. The slatted running surface is made
of a special polymer with a special thickness to simulate ice.
