LAKE 1 (Carp) Mark Rooney plus Brian and Carl Rolfe landed 21 x Carp between 9lbs and
18lbs 8ozs. Cliff Hills landed a 16lbs 8ozs Common. David Gates and colleague Tony landed
14 x Carp ranging between 12lbs and 18lbs. Raymond Wohlgemuth landed 3 x Mirrors from
8lbs to 13lbs plus Commons of 17lbs and 21lbs 8ozs. Cliff Hills landed Mirrors of 17lbs and 12lbs
plus Commons of 16lbs 8ozs, 12lbs and 9lbs 8ozs. June Derek Ward landed Carp of 17lbs and
12lbs 8ozs while Sue Ward had weights of 13lbs 8ozs, 5lbs 6ozs and a PB 18lbs.
LAKE 2 (Carp/Catfish) Kevin Oxley landed 7 x 30lbs+ Cats, 5 x 20lbs+ Cats, x4 Kittens to a total
of 407lb 6oz. Matt Scott and Abdi Ellis both achieving PB’s and together they landed 21 Cats
with a total weight of 437lbs Fishing during their annual visit from the 16th May for 6 days/nights
produced spectacular weights for brothers Jonathon and James Archer together with Tom
Jobling landing 67 Cats over 20lbs+ including 16 over 30lbs+. A 5-day/night session resulted in
9 x Cats for Bill Phillips including 2 x 25lbs 8ozs, 26lbs 10ozs, 29lbs 12ozs, 30lbs 4ozs, 31lbs,
36lbs 8ozs, 38lbs and 40lbs 8ozs. Colleague Steve Hyder also landed Cats of 28lbs 4ozs and
37lbs 8ozs plus a 12lbs 8ozs Common while Judi Swatland had Cats of 20lbs 4ozs and 22lbs
3ozs plus a 17lbs 12ozs Common. 11 year old Ben MacGregor landed a 25lbs 2ozs PB Moggie
after a memorable tussle and significantly increased his previous 1lb PB. A 60 hour session for
Martin Whibley landed 7 x Cats from 3lbs to a PB 40lbs while colleague Robin Moyser had 27
x Cats from 12lbs to 38lbs giving a total weight of 581lbs. Colleague Tim Noble also landed 12 x
Cats to 33lbs 8ozs. Regular Roy Prout landed a 20lbs 6ozs Mirror and Cats of 21lbs 5ozs, 14lbs
1oz and 13lbs 15ozs and again on the 9th June Cats of 34lbs 9ozs, 17lbs 11ozs, 16lbs 14ozs
and a PB 36lbs 3ozs. Harvey Rhodes landed 14 x Catfish to a PB 29lbs 3ozs including 6 x “20’s”.
Simon Ellis and John landed 39 x Carp and Cats including Cats weighing 40lbs 8ozs and 33lbs
3ozs plus Carp of 20lbs, 17lbs and 15lbs. Mark Davis had a 18lbs Cat while his friend Dev had
a PB 24lbs Cat plus 2 x Kittens. Alan Rogers twice increased his Cat PB including weights of
37lbs PB, 33lbs 10ozs PB, 33lbs, 27lbs 10ozs, 23lbs 3ozs and 17lbs 9ozs. Derek and Sue Ward
Having already caught a PB 36lbs 3ozs Cat in June Roy Prout also landed a 34lbs 9ozs Moggie
were soon into the Catfish including a 39lb 2oz PB for Derek and a total catch of 3 x 20lb+, 9 x
20lb+ and 5 x 10lb+. David Cooper landed Cats of 24lbs 8ozs and a PB 32lbs and after being
broken-up Dave Wayman landed a 24lbs Moggie. Peter Parsons was into the Cats with weights
of 36lbs, 26lbs 9ozs, 23lbs 15ozs, 23lbs 12ozs, 23lbs 10ozs, 20lbs 5ozs, 14lbs 4ozs and 7lbs
12ozs while colleague Eric Scott landed a Cat of 43lbs 10ozs. Kevin Oxley clocked up an
impressive total weight of 674lbs 13ozs. Nigel Loft caught 13 x Cats between 8lbs and 26lbs
with 6 of the Cats weighing over 20lbs+. Using halibut pellet on the 12th June, Dave Kendrick
landed Cats of 33lbs and 29lbs. Gary Deacon landed Cats of 39lbs, 35lbs, 34lbs, 33lbs, 28lbs,
23lbs, 21lbs, 2 x 18lbs, 17lbs and 16lbs.
LAKE 3 (Mixed) June Lynne and Dave Press landed 8 x Carp between 6lbs and 7lbs. Paul
Evans had a great Mixed catch on the 10th June including 27 x Carp (Mirrors and Commons)
between 3lbs and 11lbs, 5 x Tench from 2lbs to 5lbs 8ozs (to head the Tench Leader Board), 4 x
Bream from 3lbs 8ozs to 4lbs plus numerous Roach and Perch. Fred Rosier landed Commons
of 4lbs 7ozs, 4lbs 2ozs, 2 x 3lbs 6ozs, 3lbs 3ozs and 3lbs 2ozs plus Mirrors of 9lbs 7ozs, 8lbs
8ozs and 3lbs 13ozs.

Dave is 75 years old and does all of his fishing with
traditional tackle which he has done for over 60 years!
He caught this stunning double figure Barbel at
Hartley Lands Farm Nicks Lake
on a split cane rod and centrepin reel
with a homemade paste bait.
