Kit Cullen will talk about his work Jack’s Journey: an ANZAC’s descent into death, disaster
and controversy at Gallipoli. This is the story
of what happened to Private Jack Collyer of
the 4th Battalion who landed at Gallipoli on
25th April 1915. He was wounded a week
later and died from wounds on a hospital
ship on 4 May. Mr Cullen used Jack’s three
diaries and his service record for much of his
10 years of research for the book. The author
also has two family members who landed in
Gallipoli in 1915.
