General Manager Business Development
Kia Motors Europe
Dear Fleet Managers,
Welcome to the Kia fleet. No, this is not just another brochure from another
car manufacturer trying to sell you vehicles for your fleet.
We would like you to meet a fleet, designed to your needs. A complete range
of models, that adds up to a fleet that is as unique in its model set-up as in its
service approach. A fleet focused on design and quality, aligned to a value for
money proposition and equipped with new low CO2 engines. A fleet that will give
you peace of mind for at least 7 years. Guaranteed.
And all these are not just promises. It is the commitment and key objective of a
brand that is one of the fastest growing brands in Europe. We also aim to become
the mainstream fleet alternative for small and medium customers. A very ambitious target, but a target that can be reached.
Because we are Kia Motors, a strong company with over 44,000 employees
worldwide and annual revenues of around € 15 billion. All this makes us very
confident. We know, we have the products and the ambition to get there. And
our fast increasing sales figures show that we are on the right track.
So, take a little time, flip through the following pages and you will find an
outstanding and highly competitive product range. We look forward to welcoming
you as a new Kia fleet customer and assure you of our commitment, and the
dedication of the entire Kia fleet team, to meeting your every need.

KIA FLEET
Empowering your business success
We know you need a model portfolio that meets all kinds of functional
needs plus the expectations of user-choosers. We know you require a
wide range of services. We know, you need a partner that you can count
on. On an international, national and on a local level.
We know, because we listened to fleet managers. We learned and we
took action. That’s why we achieved strong fleet sales growth in the
recent years. Thanks to the growing appeal of our products to fleet
drivers and the level of service we offer to fleet operators.
We are able to offer to you a strong and expanding professional fleet
organisation with easy access through the different fleet channels.
We can assure you professional after sales service quality, residual value
as well as specially developed product offers for fleet needs.
A complete portfolio:
New in 2011 and 2012
With new product launches in
the A, B, C and D-segment you
can enjoy a complete range of
attractive models.
7-Year Warranty
It’s a worry-free fleet
All this on top of our attractive product range, our extensive warranties,
our excellent Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and our competitive CO2
levels, Kia cars are fun to drive.
Whether you’re a small business owner running a few cars or a
multinational corporate company with an extensive global fleet.
We are one team able to support your business.
And we are dedicated to meeting your needs.
A company should have confidence in what
it does and in the products it produces. Our
confidence can be summed up in three words:
Seven Years Warranty.
A unique 7-year manufacturer warranty
comes standard with every Kia, fully transferable between owners and valid anywhere in
Europe – even when travelling.
Imagine relying on a bumper-to-bumper*
coverage for 7 years or 150,000 km. For
each and every car of your fleet.
In the unlikely event of a warranty repair being
required, we will cover all the repair costs –
including labour and parts. And because it is
transferable, the next owner can enjoy the
remainder of the warranty, meaning that each
vehicle retains a high resale value.
You see, we thought of everything, so that
you won’t have to worry.
The Kia 7-year warranty
Every Kia benefits from a
7-year/150,000 km new car
warranty (up to 3 years
unlimited; from 4 years
150,000 km).
*7-year/150,000 km Kia warranty for all Kia models with initial registration after 01.01.2010; valid in all EU member states (incl. Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, and Gibraltar)
subject to local terms and conditions. For vehicles used as a taxi the warranty coverage is limited to 150,000 km, regardless of the period of time in service.

Total cost of ownership
Kia EcoDynamics
All models with Start/Stop System
carry the EcoDynamics badge.
It’s a high value fleet
TCO – Total Cost of Ownership, that is the magic formula for every fleet
customer. You will hardly find a fleet that performs better in this specific
area. And if you are looking for value for your money, purchasing a Kia is
the best choice you can make. Because we are able to provide you with
significant more value than our competitors in terms of equipment and
technology.
Low fuel consumption over the whole range is another cost saving
factor. Next comes depreciation, ours is low due to low prices and a high
residual value. And you get low taxation because of our low CO2 emission figures.
That leaves us with the cost for insurance, service, maintenance and
repair: How about service intervals of up to 2 years/30,000 km? You
find this already implemented in the Kia Rio1 and the Kia Sportage1, with
more models to follow shortly. And it goes with saying that you can
insure every Kia model at a competitive price.
CO2 Emissions
It’s a low emission fleet
We do more than just meeting industry standards. Eco-friendliness for
us is a long-term company strategy, a way of life, extending across all
operations and through the full life-cycle of our products.
The result is a range of environmentally friendly cars, eco-friendly
manufactured and equipped with innovative technologies like a Start/
Stop System (ISG) that reduces fuel consumption and emissions by up
to 15%. Add to that low rolling resistance tires, optimum shift indicator
and refined, ultra-reliable engines and it all sums up to efficient,
greener driving. These elements work together to create what we
call “EcoDynamics”.
Kia is, in average, overall one of the best in terms of CO2 emissions.
The Kia Rio with its 85 g/km is one perfect example. That means, your
fleet will be both friendly to the environment and your budget, because
low fuel consumptions and emission rates will earn you high taxation
benefits.
Reduction of cost of ownership by constant product improvement
AuDaCon, one of the leading automotive data providers, testifies that Kia was able to reduce cost of ownership (COO) by more than 10% with Sportage model change. Calculations and observations focussed on service
and maintenance repairs. Especially the model change from Kia Sportage old generation (JE) to new generation
(SL) discloses a significant service cost reduction. To sight cost reduction in more detail, AuDaCon took a closer
look at the 2.0 CRDi AWD of each generation. The analysis took 90,000 km and 48 month as a basis in the
German market. The result of varying operating cost is by all means representative. Thus the required number
of services was cut in half from six to three, resulting in a reduction of labour time of 6.7h. Moreover costs for
spare parts and fluids were cut by 32.8%. Overall a total cost reduction of 42.3% was accomplished.

HERITAGE AND DESIGN
Development and Production
Built to last …
… and to inspire.
Kia – made in Europe
Kia Motors Corporation has grown from humble beginnings to become
one of the fastest growing international automakers with over 44,000
Kia employees across the globe. Nearly 1.5 million vehicles per year are
produced in 13 manufacturing and assembly operations in 8 countries.
They are then sold through over 3,300 overseas dealers in 172
countries around the world.
Over the last decade, Kia Motors Europe (KME) has expanded the
brand’s appeal in Europe. The European Design Centre underlines this
commitment to the European market and signals our intention to be a
brand that meets and exceeds European customer needs.
In 2006, Kia Motors Europe opened its headquarters in Frankfurt/Main,
Germany. Kia's R&D Centre in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and its modern car
and engine manufacturing plant in Zilina, Slovakia, fulfill the commitment to exceptional quality. Kia’s first manufacturing site in Europe has
set new standards for vehicle quality and productivity whilst being
recognized for its environmental credentials with an ISO 14001
certificate.
Many elements create a world-leading automotive brand but one
essential is outstanding design. To ensure we offer distinctive models
that stand out from the crowd, we appointed top designer Peter
Schreyer as our Chief Design Officer in 2007. His work marks a dramatic
shift in design direction for Kia, immediately identifiable by the new
striking signature grille design that links all new Kia models.
The product quality achieved in this and all other Kia plants gives us
the reassurance to provide each and every Kia with a unique 7-year
manufacturer warranty, clearly differentiating us from not just other
Asian brands, but also domestic European brands.
Kia Motors is one of the main winners in the
first-ever Automotive Brand Contest. In the
Brand Design category, where strategy and
focus of the brand’s overall design is rated,
Kia was ranked ‘Best of Best’.
Peter Schreyer,
Kia’s Chief Design Officer
“Our new cars are fresh and bold
and could not be mistaken for
anything other than a Kia.”
18
19
Constant motivation
Nothing motivates us more
than compliments.
USED CARS
Kia Approved.
Just another word for peace of mind.
Kia has the objective to provide our customers with “peace of mind”,
especially when they are buying a used car. And “Kia Approved” is the
programme designed to achieve just that.
All Kia Approved used cars have a maximum age of seven years and a
maximum mileage of 150,000 km. They have then passed a vehicle
inspection of 105 points of control (35 for the mechanical and
technical, 35 for the body and 35 for the electronics) following a rigid
procedure in line with the “Kia Approved” standards. We believe in our
programme. That’s why we offer our customers the possibility to
exchange the car after 14 days/1,000 km, if not satisfied.
Residual Value
Very well put
With a Kia Approved used car you can go wherever you want without
expecting any trouble. Your warranty is valid anywhere in Europe.
If there is a problem with your car on the journey, the 24/7 roadside
assistance programme is ready to help you.
Or to cut it short: Don’t worry about your car, have a great time.
KIA APPROVED PROGAMME IN BRIEF
• Up to 7 years European warranty*
• European roadside assistance
• 105 points vehicle inspection
Compliments are always welcome, even more, when they come from independent experts. Be assured that every praise
we get is an obligation for us to enhance our efforts in striving for even better quality and service.
“By combining a stylish exterior, targeted at
European customers with an extraordinary
value promise, i.e. attractive price positioning
and 7-year warranty, Kia has been able to
substantially grow their products’ attractiveness in the used car market. Sportage and
Picanto are examples of how Kia successfully
challenges the establishment. And there is
more to come – which will help Kia maintain
this positive trajectory.”
“It is fair to say that when Kia started importing cars to
Europe, no one really believed that this would be a success
story. A few model generations later Kia became a serious
competitor. 7-year warranty and a European Design ‘made
in and for Europe’ are contributing factors of Kia’s good
reputation today. Not only the value for money but even
the residual value percentage show that Kia (in this case
the ’Picanto’) is ahead in its segment. And what about the
competitors of the Sportage in this respect? They stand
way behind the Sportage.”

RESEARCH
Kia AT A GLANCE
The best way to predict the future
is to invent it
Convincing facts for your fleet decision
For us eco-friendliness is more than just a popular attitude. It is a longterm strategy. Trying to become an environmental leader, Kia does more
than meet industry standards – our environmental commitment is a way
of life, extending across all of our operations and through the full lifecycle of our products.
Innovation for a better world
Sustainability, efficiency, ecology –
these are the three keywords
that stand above everything we do.
We will only develop technologies that meet the highest ecological
standards for automobiles. This development work aims at minimising
the strain on our environment and creating solutions for cleaner
motoring. The whole process is driven by our Eco-Technology Research
Institute where eco-friendly processes and components for Kia vehicles
are created. This has already led to convincing results, such as one of
the largest fleets of fuel-cell driven test cars, LPG hybrid vehicles or our
electric Kia Venga, an all-electric plug-in concept car based on the
Venga which will be released in 2013.
Being a fleet manager, you need a wide range of services, and the most important one is to count
on a partner, at international, national and local level.
We are able to provide you with a desirable product range, extensive warranties, excellent Total
Cost of Ownership (TCO) and competitive CO2 levels. All things considered, we are offering you a
very special fleet and a very special team behind it. We would love to support your business.
