One of our innovative approaches has been linking social protection programs, Conditional Cash Transfers, with the formal financial system, allowing millions of unbanked poor to benefit by encouraging savings, investment and entrepreneurship. The Economic Citizenship Division provides innovative solutions to increase the productive, financial, human and social assets of the poor and extreme poor, so they are able to attain socioeconomic stability, overcome unexpected setbacks, and achieve full economic citizenship. The Digital Solutions Division uses the same technological advances that facilitate global commerce and communication to improve the lives of the poor. It represents a commitment to apply and experiment with new technologies that can improve quality, increase scale and reduce the implementation costs of our projects. With tools such as mobile banking, tablet and smartphone based financial education, e-learning and e-coaching, the initiative supports all of our projects by identifying ways that technology can be harnessed to increase scale and reach more communities in need. Post-conflict & Territorial Development The Post- Conflict & Territorial Development Division works with public and private sector partners to encourage entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and asset-building as a means of strengthening fragile communities.
