Sophie Jacobi-Parisi, Mayerson Abramowitz & Kahn Andrew Roffman, NYU Langone Medical Center Sophie Jacobi-Parisi is a partner at Mayerson Abramowitz & Kahn. And received her J.D. and Masters in Social Work in a dual degree program offered through Loyola University Chicago’s Law School and Social Work School. Ms. Jacobi-Parisi is experienced in handling complicated custody cases, particularly custody matters involving children with special needs. She is experienced in negotiating prenuptial, separation and settlement agreements and she also has substantial litigation and trial experience in New York’s Family and Supreme Courts. In addition, Ms. Jacobi-Parisi has been consistently selected by her peers as Best Lawyer since 2012 and as a “Rising Star” in Super Lawyers since 2013. Andrew Roffman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 27 years of experience working with individuals, families and couples. For the past 16 years he has been a part of the Child Study Center at NYU Langone Medical Center where he runs Family Studies, CSC's family/couples therapy program. In addition to teaching family/couples therapy and family systems theory to psychiatry residents, psychology interns, and undergraduates, Andrew maintains a busy clinical practice through CSC's Faculty Group Practice. Andrew has published numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters on the subject of families and therapy.
