`What if..? What’s on this Week?

What’s on this Week?
`What if..?
I’m new? It’s great to have you with us! Please stay if you’re able to, have a
brew and chat with us. Have a look at the Welcome Desk at the back of the
church building before you leave – you’ll find all kinds of info about St Andrew’s.
If you can fill in a newcomers card and give it to whoever led the service as you
go, we’d love to catch up with you during the week. Thank you!
I have disabilities? Please ask the welcomers for large print copies
of both the noticesheet and the bible passage. Wheelchairs are
welcome! - do ask if you would like assistance, and there is a
disabled access toilet at the back of church.
Switch your hearing aid to ‘T’ to make use of the loop system. We
have a Good News Group that meets during the week for adults with
learning difficulties – ask a welcomer for more information.
I want to give? If you’re new, please don’t feel that you need to give. We’re just
glad you’re here! If you would like to contribute, there is a ‘Gifts’ box at the back
of church for donations. If you are a tax payer please use the pink envelopes next
to the box, so that the church can claim the tax back.

It is not too late to give towards our Harvest Appeal. Money will go to The Barnabus Fund as

Ministries as it supports Christians suffering in Iran. Gifts in envelopes clearly marked ‘Harvest
Appeal’ can be put in the Offerings box at the back of church. Cheques should be made

Archbishop Sentamu Visit
There will be a mission event with an evangelistic focus on Tuesday November 4 at 7.30pm
called `Light in Darkness` to be held in the marvellous surroundings of Blackpool Tower
Ballroom. The Archbishop intends to challenge us to `Live the Faith` here in Lancashire, and
will speak from his own experience growing up in poverty and danger in Idi Amin`s Uganda.
There is a list at the back of church to sign up if you wish to attend. The event is free and we
have 100 places available. Please bring your non-Christian friends!
St Andrew’s in Singapore has a vision to reach out with the gospel and plant churches in
neighbouring countries – Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Nepal, Thailand and Vietnam. They are
holding a Mission Round Table Consultation in November to share and pray for that vision
and have invited David Gibb and a couple of people from St Andrew’s Leyland, to explore the
possibility of partnering with them in some way. To help raise funds, Paul Moran is offering
framed photos for sale – see examples in the foyer. Please do consider supporting in this way
and pick up a leaflet or contact Paul (email: [email protected], phone: 07832 166 921).
