ELIGIBILITY REMINDER
Just a reminder to those of you who will be participating in Judging events and
other competitions to be sure and let the County Extension Office know 10-14
days in advance that you will be participating so that we have enough time to get
eligibilities done for your competition. This goes for any competitive event,
whether you are missing school or not.
COUNTY FAIR REMINDERS FOR PARENTS & YOUTH
All youth exhibitors are expected to attend school every day during the fair unless they are an approved volunteer for a special day. This also means allowing enough time to get any animal feeding done in the
morning and getting to school ON TIME. This also means not asking for early release from school in order to
feed animals.
Thank you for your attention to these responsibilities!
For clarification...Determination of eligibility to compete in the county fair is determined using UIL rules.
The 4-H Program, recognized as an extracurricular activity, is subject to the same standards as all school
UIL events and activities.
Auction Rules Reminder:
Just a brief reminder during the livestock auction not to ask a buyer to return your animal to you. If the buyer wishes to, there is a form for them to do so at the livestock office, but please do not ask to have your animal returned from a buyer.
GET READY FOR RECORDBOOKS!!!
Galveston County 4-H Record Books are due to the
County Extension office by June 12, 2015.
Keep your
‘s open for emails on the upcoming
recordbook workshop!
