Dear Sir/Madam ,
1. Quotations are invited for the Supply of 500 Its- Liquid helium conforming to technical specification no:
SCM/LHe/ 15/0 I dated: 16/03/2015.
2. Bidder shall quote for collection of the empty Dewar from BARC and supply of the Dewar with liquid
helium as per the tender technical specification.
3. Taxes and Excise Duties shall be quoted separately. Form AF / H whichever is applicable shall be provided,
if required.
4. The quotation must reach The Head, Electromagnetic Applications Section, Control Instrumentation
Division by 31103/2015 (12:00 PM) and must be seut in a sealed envelope super scribed with the
reference number & the due date given above only through ORDINARY POST/SPEED POST.

6. The bidder shall complete the job within 24 weeks from the date of firm work order issued to the bidder.
The finished components shall be delivered by the bidder at Control Instrumentation Division, BARC,
Trombay, Mumbai - 400 085.
7. Head, Control Instrumentation Division reserves the rights to accept / reject any or all quotations without
assrgnmg any reason.
8. Delivery charges if any must be clearly mentioned in the offer. Quotation must also indicate the validity of
offer. Quotation must also indicate the VAT no and PAN no of the party.
9. The quotation has to be signed by authorized person with compan y seal.
10. Payment will be made by cheque only after satisfactory completion of work on production of bill, delivery
challan and advance stamped receipt. It may be noted that IT @ 2% and surcharge on tax at 15% shall be
deducted from your bills.

Supply of 500 lts- Liquid helium
1.0
SCOPE
1.1
Tender is invited for the supply of liquid helium (4.2K) . In this specification the supplier
shall be referred to as the “supplier” and Bhabha Atomic research Centre shall be referred to as the
“buyer”.
Supplier shall collect the empty 250 lts Dewar -02 Nos from BARC and fill the empty Dewar with
liquid helium. Supplier shall quote in lump sum for collection of Dewar, filling up of liquid helium,
return back the Dewar to BARC as per the tender specification document. The brief description of
contents of the tender specification document is as described below.
Para 2.0 gives intended application and operating service conditions.
Para 3.0 gives the details of deliverables.
Para 4.0 gives the mode of execution.
Para 5.0 gives the requirements of packaging and safe delivery.
Para 6.0 gives the requirements of price and delivery schedule.

INTENDED APPLICATION
Liquid helium has a boiling point of 4.2K and is required for testing of low temperature
superconducting magnets which are under development.
3.0
DETAILS OF DELIVERABLES/SCOPE OF SUPPLY AND FREE ISSUE MATERIAL
The scope of supply are tabulated in table below

MODE OF EXECUTION
4.1
The supplier shall collect empty liquid helium Dewar -02 Nos of 250 lts from RCnD Building
of BARC. Necessary vehicle entry will be made for collection the Dewar and return back the Dewar.
4.2
The Dewar shall be filled with liquid helium at the liquefaction plant of the supplier and same
shall be delivered to RCnD Building.
4.3
The empty weight of the Dewar and the weight of Dewar after filling up liquid helium shall
be measured at the supplier’s location. The same will be weighted by us inside BARC.
5.0
REQUIREMENT OF PACKAGING AND SAFE DELIVERY
5.1
The liquid helium dewar shall be collected from RCnD Building of BARC and the same shall
be returned back after filling liquid helium within 24 hours.
6.0
REQUIREMENTS OF PRICE AND DELIVERY SCHEDULE
6.1
The supplier shall give a lump-sum price with delivery schedule.
