`
Coordinators
Eight years since the establishment of this esteemed
institution, GECians have eclipsed the various encumbering
challenges in various fields, be it sports, academics or co
curricular with éclat and jubilance. Students have not only
succeeded themselves, but have also augmented the
college’s stature among the most crème de la crème.
With the advancement of the term ‘Global Citizen’ and in
honor of the college’s belief in wholesome education,
ProGECtion perfectly staged the true GECian spirit and
provided a perfect platform to the students to radiate
their mellifluous endowments to the world.
All the coordinators involved with this event worked in an
atmosphere of camaraderie and their hardwork, talent and
perfection is an example of our institution’s aspirations. All
of them collectively worked day and night to make this onus
seeming fest a great success by persevering through the
days of paucity.
`
PRINCIPAL’s ADDREss
The Man behind the grand success of the Annual Fest
“ProGECtion 2015” is the Principal of the college CBPGEC, Prof.
V.K. Minocha. A man of words and an inspiration for his
students, he has led the college towards a brighter future.
Under his leadership, more than being assured of its standing
and credibility, the college is clearly the leading technical
institution in Delhi. With a strong determination and goodwill, he
has been continuously working for the perfection of the
institution and overall development of his students. Being an
educationist, he has always inspired us to move beyond
conventions and expand our horizons. Under his great care the
college has moved way beyond the confines of simply being a
'technical' or 'further education' college. He has always
promoted educational and cultural development of students.
The Annual Fest “proGECtion 2015” was cultural excellence of
Prof. V.K. Minocha. The event was marked by his words of
wisdom. In the speech he addressed the students about the key
to success along with the Cultural strategies to be followed so
as to always retain our Indian Culture.
The events were formally inaugurated by the Dean Academics
Sh. S.K. Tiwari.
`
ProGECtion 2k15
“ProGECtion” denoted by accent to “PROJECTION”,
reflects on the idea of projecting the cultural, technical,
environmental, and academic efforts of our college CBP
Government Engineering College, Delhi, in the world over.
Another reason to disturb the word PROJECTION to
ProGECtion was to highlight our college’s name “Government
Engineering College” (GEC).
As vibrant as the students are, the college festival
ProGECtion ’15 was splendiferous. It was a two day fiesta
(23th March and 27th March, 2015) of live music, enchanting
performances and enriching presentations and competitions.
College fests are the most effective way of bringing youth
under the same platform to enhance social interaction and
to facilitate exchange of cultural ideas and thoughts.
ProGECtion 2015 was organized within the open air theatre
of CBPGEC. All were heartily welcomed to the event. The,
Mr. Pankaj Lathar (Cultural Chairman), Mrs. Geeta Malik
(Cultural Conveyer Administrator), Mr. Mohit Wadhwa
(Cultural Conveyer Logistic), Ms. Mimansa Gulati (Student
Coordinator) and all the cultural team members took the
charge for conducting this successful event with his cofellows. Annual Fest started at 10:30 morning.
ProGECtion’15 included array of events and activities where
the college students enthusiastically participated. There
were literary as well as cultural events in which the
students surprised everyone with their brilliance.
`
On 27th March, 2015, the event started at 10:30am with
lightening of lamp and the addressing of the audience by
our honourable Dean (academic) ‘Mr. S. K. Tiwari’.

Saraswati Vandana and gave the series of events a formal
start.

CULTURAL EVENTS
The Dance Event
Dance is something everyone looks forward to in a college party and we
have some amazingly energetic people who can hardly let eyes blip once
they get going. The first event was group dance with the total of five
groups giving their amazing performances. The participants were truly the
talented bunch. We saw some scintillating and terrific performances and
credit must be given to all participants as they made sure not a single dull
moment could come and mar the spontaneity of the event. Furthermore,
the event of Dancing was to justify all sort of cultural, western dance
styles on the stage. The thrilling performances at their best won heart of
many. The Event coordinators were also in their proper action.
This event took place in three categories:
 The Group Dance Event
 The Solo Dancers
 The Duets

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa
Music is the language of soul. All the stress and suffering associated with the
rigors of the age we live in, vanishes when one surrenders to the realm of music.
These events emphasized the importance of music in our lives as we were treated
to an extravaganza where the performers had the audience enchanted and asking
for encores. At the receiving end were the audience who were certainly not
complaining and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. . Moreover the Judges were
judging very minutely on every performance.
This event which was coined for the following: The Solo Singers
 The Duets
`
Dramatics
Stand-Up Comedy
Comedy is something that makes you feel happy at every moment of you life. It
makes you to laugh whenever you are upset. A stand-Up comedy event was
performed by Kunal (IT 3rd yr) & Sushobhan (CIVIL 2nd yr).
`
The Fashion Parade
The fest also boasts of spectacular display of fashion show for an hour. It
comprised of a western and a traditional round. Students of GEC displayed
their vivacious fashion sense. The event started with moving solos followed
by the pairs walking with flamboyance.
`
`
The Band Performances
In less than no time after the end of this competition, a live
performance by the college band rendered the audience
spellbound and augmented the college’s stature amongst the
very best in India. This quick show was soon followed by the
guest band which left the crowd wanting for more! The
quintessential singing skills of the band performers could match
no heights and was an artistic treat.
`
The events would not have been possible without the immense
contribution of the following participants who worked hard for
making the ProGECtion 2K15 a great success.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
We express our sincerest thanks to the Principal, the Dean and faculty
members for their consistent support which crucially contributed to our
efforts in the right direction and provided the wherewithal required for
amateurs like us.
Last but definitely not the least we would like to express our admiration
for the junior fellows who did not take long to break barriers and form
good relations with us which is critical to the success of any institute.
They were receptive and innovative with their approach and supported us
wholeheartedly, our heart goes out to our worthy successors and we
expect them to take charge of such events in the future and do a
commendable job, we thank all our juniors once again appreciative of the
fact that it did not take them long to blend with us, despite the problems
of intense heat and distance which they braved admirably and contribute
significantly in all our ventures for the college
