INSTITUTE PROFILE
Gospel Echoing Missionary Society (GEMS), is a Christian registered NGO, a non – profitable and
charitable organization working in the Northern States of India especially Bihar for the last 42 years on a non –
sectarian basis without any discrimination of caste, colour, creed and religion and is committed to bring a holistic
community transformation through its Educational, Medical and Humanitarian Services. GEMS Educational
Mission toils to ensure wholesome education in its intellectual, moral, spiritual, social and physical attributes. It
also seeks to accomplish the social
development through inculcation of social
values and by providing realistic social
learning environment with the spirit of
Christ Jesus.
The CEO & the General Secretary of
GEMS Rev. D. Augustine Jebakumar, who
had earlier been a tool designer in a leading
English Company, understood that the
development of society is in the hands of
youth with proper technical skills and found
out that the main challenge of youth in Bihar
was “Unemployment and Unemployable youth”. This fact motivated him to establish technical institutions and
provide quality technical education along with personality development leading to the birth of GEMS Polytechnic
College.
At Present GEMS Educational and Medical Services manages more than 120 Schools, 2 ITI's, 1 Nursing
College, 1 B. Ed College and few other certificate programs in Computer courses and tailoring. Apart from these
few more ITI's, Paramedical College, Nursing College, D. Ed College and an engineering and management
college by the name GEMS Engineering and Management Studies are in the pipeline.

CivilEngineering
Civil engineering degree graduates are the brains behind all the largest and most essential structures that
surround us – buildings, transport networks, energy and water supplies – and so their value within society is great. In
recent years, the profession has seen a shortage of experienced graduates, meaning that now, more than ever, civil
engineering graduates are highly sought after. The job opportunities are in civil engineering fields and software
companies. Analytical and logical abilities and liking for the profession are the essential requirements.
