The Southern California Genealogical
Society proudly announces that a
mobile app will again be available for
the Genetic Genealogy: DNA Day Plus!
and the 2015 Genealogy Jamboree.
SCGS launched the ﬁrst mobile app for
a family history or genealogical conference in 2011, setting a new standard
for our community. From the very ﬁrst,
Jamboree’s app was widely acclaimed.
Since then, with the explosion in the
use of smartphones and tablets, iPads,
iPhones, Android, and other devices,
the app has increased in value, use and
in popularity.
The Jamboree app is again being
developed by Core-Apps, LLC which
has developed hundreds of mobile
apps, including RootsTech 2012,’13
and ’15, IAJGS, and the 2013 National
Genealogical Society conference.
Jamboree partners can take advantage of
this new technology to get in touch and stay
in touch with your current and potential
clients, members, and subscribers.
You don’t even have to be in Burbank to be
able to take advantage of the beneﬁts offered by the Jamboree app. Our Virtual
Exhibitor program puts you on the SCGS
website and on the digital map alongside
the onsite exhibitors.
Choose from among several service levels,
from a basic contact listing to a more
noticeable banner ad and landing page
with your logo. You might be interested in
stepping up to the Multimedia package to
showcase any videos, or topping it off with
text alerts sent to all app users.
The app lives on long after Jamboree’s lights
go dark. You can update your listing during
the year to keep ‘em coming back for more.
We offer several alternatives for participation. Many of the levels are provided at a
discount or at no charge to those organizations and individuals who support Jamboree as an onsite exhibitor, sponsor, advertiser or door prize donor.

Green Level ………………………………
Base Cost $50
Free for onsite exhibitors, sponsors >$1,000 and other supporters.
The Green Level provides for contact information (name, address, phone, email, URL) and links to the organization’s external
website. Include your logo or other image to strengthen your brand. Upload
your handouts so they don’t get buried in the bottom of a registration bag or
left in the hotel room.
The Green Level is especially cost effective for Virtual Exhibitors who want to
reach Jamboree’s audience but can’t participate in person. Advertise your
new book, your website or blog, your professional genealogical consulting
services, society or other business.
Banner Ad and Landing Screen
……… Base Cost $150
Free for sponsors > $1,000; 50% discount for onsite
exhibitors.
Includes all of the content of the Green Level. Draw more trafﬁc to your listing
and add pizzazz to increase your exposure. Banner ads cycle randomly at
the top of the viewing screen. Tapping the banner ad leads to a landing
screen containing a larger graphic. The landing screen can feature your logo,
photo of your product or other image. If you need help with your graphics,
Core-Apps can provide assistance for a nominal fee.
Text Messages and Push Alerts ………… Per Alert $150
Imagine being able to text your customers to tell them that you have added
content to the app. Now imagine you can text them any time of the year. Tell
them of special offers, or new products or databases or client or book
release. Text alerts are a stand-alone package and can be purchased regardless of the package selected. Limit of 3 commercial texts per day.
