The Board has approved some changes to the bylaws to be voted on at the next
membership meeting
GYC By-Laws Change Proposal
Current Article:
Article I – MEMBERSHIP

3. may be voted into Active membership by rank when an opening in the voting
membership exists
Proposed change:
3. may be voted into Active membership by rank when an opening in the voting
membership exists no less than 6 months after being voted into Provisional
membership. A Provisional member who becomes eligible may decline
nomination to Active membership no more than once. Declining a second
nomination will be considered a voluntary termination of membership.

Article III – CLUB PROPERTY AND FACILITIES
K. Boat storage on club property shall be available to members only. No boat shall be
stored on club property without the prior approval of the vice commodore who shall
also arrange the boats in the storage area. Year-round storage of boats and unused
cradles and trailers is allowed for one year only. Additional storage time is allowed only
by the permission of the executive board on a yearly basis.
Proposed change:
K. Land leases for boats on club property shall be available to Active and Senior Active
members. Land leases for boats owned by Provisional members may be permitted with
approval by the Executive Board. No boat shall be placed on club property without the prior
approval of the vice commodore who shall also arrange the boats on the property. Year-round
land lease of boats and unused cradles and trailers is allowed for one year only. Additional
lease time is allowed only by the permission of the executive board on a yearly basis.

haul out slip and rudder clearance
* Mark your boats strap positions while the boat is on the cradle, might be a good
idea mark your cradle where your keel sets to make it easier when it is hauled.
