What products to prescribe and at what quantity
ACBS indications for gluten free foods: established gluten-sensitive
enteropathies including steatorrhoea due to gluten sensitivity, coeliac disease
and dermatitis herpetiformis.
ACBS indications for gluten & wheat free foods: established gluten- sensitive
enteropathies with coexsisting wheat sensitivity only. These products are
highlighted with a square ■.

This lists products that are available on prescription within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
Some of the products contain Codex wheat starch, an ingredient that is safe for people with
coeliac disease however some patients cannot tolerate it. We highlight products with Codex
wheat starch with a triangle ▲.
Products highlighted with a ■ are prescribable for coeliac disease / dermatitis herpetiformis
patients with a coexisting wheat sensitivity only.
