December 17, 2013 Gibsons Public Market became a registered non-profit society. In the early part of 2014 a Board of Directors was established to govern the operation of the Market. A decision was made to open the modestly renovated building to the public during the transition period April-June 2015 - not only offering the Coast a venue for rentals Completion of Design for community and private organizations, and Program Assessment but also creating a full-fledged Farmers’ Market from May to October giving June 2015 the Coast a taste of things to come. As you can imagine, in new Facility addition to the vast amount of pro bono and volunteer services provided, funds are summer 2016 required to assist in executing our business Grand opening plan. Your Gala Sponsorship will enable us to carry out the important role of planning and building for the future. Why will businesses and corporations want to support the Gibsons Public Market? Being associated with the GPM will offer opportunities to: 1. Help you reach your target audiences- The GPM is a coastal project that embraces and involves the total spectrum of residents along the Sunshine Coast from children and young families to the retired senior population. 2. Direct Sales- The public market will provide you with a venue to show and or sell your wares as well as provide an opportunity to network with the thousands of coastal residents and the thousands of tourists who will be coming to the Market each year. 3. ‘Giving Back’ to your CommunityThe Market’s vast array of services and features such as the Marine Education Centre, the Community Kitchen, etc. provide you, your associates and employees the opportunity to support worthy programs happening at the GPM. More and more corporations include in their mission statement a need for their organization and employees “to become directly involved and give back to community”. The GPM offers just such an opportunity. There are a growing number of businesses that maintain and dedicate significant resources (human and financial) to social responsibility. 4. Having Fun- Inasmuch our sponsors want to invest their dollars in a nonprofit organization that achieves positive and impressive outcomes, the GPM will also offer our business and corporate partners an opportunity to have “good ol’ fun”. Be it meeting celebrities who support the Market and are involved with our organization or dropping in and just seeing happy faces on children, families and seniors who are spending time at the GPM community hub. sPonsoRsHiP LEVELs GIBSONS Public Market Platinum sponsor- $15,000 • Recognition and award of distinction as a Platinum Sponsor of the Gala • Recognition of support in entry of building during 2015 • One Gala table of 10 guests • Full Page ad in Coast Reporter for your own marketing use • Emcee recognition during the evening • Corporate logo on video screens during the evening • Company logo on printed material, table and event signage • Full page ad in Event Souvenir Programme • Company logo on www.gibsonspublicmarket.com • Tax receipt for the portion of the charitable gift Gold sponsor- $10,000 • Recognition as a Gold Sponsor of the Gala • One Gala table of 10 guests • 3/4 Page ad in Coast Reporter for your own marketing use • Emcee recognition during the evening • Corporate logo on video screens during the evening • Company logo on printed material, table and event signage • 3/4 page ad in Event Souvenir Programme • Company logo on www.gibsonspublicmarket.com • Tax receipt for the portion of the charitable gift silver sponsor- $5,000 • Recognition as a Silver Sponsor of the Gala • One Gala table of 8 guests • 1/2 Page ad in Coast Reporter for your own marketing use • Emcee recognition during the evening • Company logo on printed material, table and event signage • 1/2 page ad in Event Souvenir Programme • Company logo on www.gibsonspublicmarket.com • Tax receipt for the portion of the charitable gift Bronze sponsor- $2,500 • Recognition as a Bronze Sponsor of the Gala • 4 tickets to Gala • 1/4 Page ad in Coast Reporter for your own marketing use • Emcee recognition during the evening • Company logo on printed material, table and event signage • 1/4 page ad in Event Souvenir Programme • Company logo on www.gibsonspublicmarket.com • Tax receipt for the portion of the charitable gift Sponsorship Enquiries - please call Gerry Zipursky at 604-886-8814 or [email protected] Sunshine Coast, BC EST | 2013 GoVERnAnCE GCBs Board of Directors Executive Committee • President - Nicholas Sonntag • Vice President - Brian Smith • Treasurer - Errol Lipschitz • Secretary - Linda Sonntag • Member at Large - Nancy Zipursky GCBs Board Members • Amanda Amaral • Unni Claridge • Linda Fogarty • Gail Hunt • Sharon Kelley • Aleria Ladwig • Fran Miller • Anne Niklewicz • Yvonne Paulson • Julie Reeves • Jonah Spiegelman GCBs Board of Governors • Honorary Chair - Darren Entwistle • Chair- Bill Humphries • Joann Hetherington • Patricia Hetherington • Peter Kvarnstrom • Grant Marshall • Pam Robertson • Doug Rogers • Nicholas Sonntag • Anne Titcomb Executive Director - Gerry Zipursky Executive Assistant - Dana Sauer GIBSONS Public Market Sunshine Coast, BC EST | 2013 Gibsons Community Building Society 473 Gower Point Road, Gibsons, BC Mail: PO Box 191, Gibsons, BC V0N 1V0 604 886 8814 Printed on Recycled Paper Arlene Littler Graphic Design & Photography© www.arlenelittler.com www.gibsonspublicmarket.com
