the year 2002-03. The institute is recognized by AICTE and Govt. of Rajasthan and is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical

The institute offers 4 year B.Tech program in Civil Engineering affiliated to

Electrical Engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the
study and application of electricity, electronics and electro-magnetism. The
Department of Electrical Engineering, GITS Udaipur, which has a fine blend of

Engineering (Under Graduate)
Engineering has existed since ancient times as humans devised fundamental inventions such as the pulley,
lever, and wheel. Each of these inventions is consistent with the modern definition of engineering, exploiting
basic mechanical principles to develop useful tools and objects. Engineering of GITS comprises all the Under
Graduate and Post Graduate courses which can help an aspiring student to become a future engineer.
The department runs B.Tech program in Electronics and Communication
Engineering. The course curriculum covers both traditional and recent
concepts. The department imparts training in multifarious field and it
encompasses the area of communication system, digital signals, solid-state
electronics, system design and digital electronics. The theoretical knowledge
is further supplemented with well-equipped laboratories.
B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
Mechanical Engineers play a key role in developing, operating and
manufacturing new machines, devices and processes to benefit mankind.
They apply their creative imaginations and professional skills to combine both
theory and practice in a variety of situations, For this, they need an in-depth
understanding of Scientific principles and engineering processes.
The Department has excellent lab facilities with state of the art equipment and

The institute offers 2-year full time M.Tech. Program in Power Systems
under the Department of Electrical Engineering. The course covers
subjects on high voltage DC transmission, Industrial electronics and
controls, Power electronics and drives, wind and solar energy electric
conversion systems and advanced topics in microprocessors and micro
controllers which are very much needed for today's power system
engineering.
M. Tech (VLSI Design)
The institute offers 2-year full time M.Tech. Program in VLSI under the
Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering.The objectives
of M.Tech (VLSI Design) is to develop world class professionals equipped
with all aspects of VLSI/IC and ASIC design methodologies, to expose
students to the complexities and design methodologies of current and
advanced IC design technologies and to provide hands-on design
capabilities for Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal IC/ASIC design.
M. Tech (Digital Communications)
The institute offers 2-year full time M.Tech.Program in Digital
Communications under the Department of Electronics & Communication
Engineering. This program is aimed to provide the students with a wide
variety of opportunities, both in the Industry as well as in the R & D fields.
The curriculum is designed to make the students excel in areas of
advanced modulation techniques, Error control, Networking, Satellite
Communications, Mobile and Wireless Communications, Microwave and
Antenna designs.

Fresher party as the name suggests its a party offered to the freshers of any institution or
organisation etc. In true sense its an introductory function for the new comers where they get to
know about the adopted culture of the institution of which they are a part now after. Its a function
where basically the juniors are introduced to their co-workers or seniors but in a friendly manner
and to establish a friendly cum respectful relationship between the seniors and juniors.
Sangam 2014 -The Concurrence Of National Workshops
Sangam 2014 is an event of merging of 4 national workshops in ﬁelds of Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering together in a
concurrent fashion. The initiative of "Sangam" was taken in 2013 March and like the past years
it is scheduled this year too. With the continuation to success of the mega event this year also
GITS is organizing Technical Fest.
Initiative Of National Service Scheme (NSS) By GITS
The acitivites of NSS constitute the following:- Helping the most backward village families
with hygiene and environmental cleanliness, Laying kutcha road for very short distance,
Constructing a septie tank with toilet for women of that village, and Any other karseva for that
village.

Industrial Tour to Mumbai-Goa By CSE III Yr & II Yr GITS Students
An Industrial tour to Mum-Chandigarh was organized by department of CSE for the students of
IV sem and VI Sem from March 24, 2014 to March 30, 2014. Tour was organized to provide
students industrial working knowledge of Siemens Ltd South Goa campus.

University, Jobner will explain about recent trends in renewable energy sources. Chief Scientist
of NPL, New Delhi will explain about TiO2based solar photovoltaic energy sources. A Senior
Professor from IIT Delhi will discuss about latest energy harvesting techniques. Technical
consultant of Secure Meters, Udaipur will express their view about smart system for energy
management. An Assistant Professor from IIT, Patna will present a modern view on distribution
generation of renewable energy.

Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies is organizing its 1st ever National Level Sports Meet,
GITS SPORTS FIESTA - 2K14 during March 24th-27th 2014.Sports serve as an excellent
physical exercise. It develops leadership qualities and fosters a team spirit in them. Sports
involve competition; they involve winning and losing. GITS SPORTS FIESTA - 2K14 aims at
inculcating the spirits inside the participants and bringing out the zeal in them to outperform the
rest.
