All students will participate in the Ice
Breaker and Morning Energizer.
Students will be enrolled in three classes
based on their top preferences.
Students will receive their Explore6 daily
schedule on the first day of camp.
Parents will receive a confirmation at
registration and a reminder one week
before camp starts. Please bring a light
snack and a great attitude!

Ice Breaker and Morning Energizer
All students participate in this opening activity.
They will be introduced to a variety of games and
activities geared toward team building and meeting
new friends. It’s a great way to wake up and start
the day!

Ever want to be the leader of
your own country? Sign up for
World Traveler and you will
have the opportunity to design
your own island country! You'll
work in groups to create
everything about your country-where it will be, what
it will look like, type of government, economy, and
how the entire place will be set up. If you like to
explore and design, this class is for you! Sign up and
see for yourself!
Fun and Games
Have fun learning teamwork and the
fundamental components
of team sports such as:
volleyball, basketball and
kickball. The key
elements are life-long
fitness, learning to work
with others, good
sportsmanship and of
course, lots of fun!

Bill Nye isn’t the only “Science Guy” who thinks
science rules! Channel your inner scientist as we
learn the basic expectations and skills for working
in a middle school science
classroom by exploring various
hands-on science labs and
experiments.
3-2-1-Action! Step into
the Broadcast Studio at
Jones Middle School where
students will write the
script and film the local
news show, iJones Live!.
This news show will be
created by teenagers, for
teenagers. Students will
select current topics that interest their teen
viewers such as music, books, food, and current
events. Using both print and digital sources such
as the Online Research Library, students will
research their topics and write the script for
the show. Then students will learn to use the
Broadcast Studio equipment to film the final
version of iJones Live!

Forensic Science
Experience “science in action” to help solve a
mystery. Students will be actively engaged in
the process of scientific
inquiry through hands-on
activities and consistently
applying the scientific
method as they gather,
analyze, and interpret data
to solve forensic
mysteries. Learn how to
fingerprint, study blood
and DNA, analyze documents, and much more to
help investigate the crime scene and capture the
criminal. If you’ve ever wanted to be a part of a
CSI unit, here is your chance.

Come join us for fun and excitement as we learn
about the world of technology. We will have a vari‐
