This is conducted by Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management. It is a very popular All India Joint Entrance examination for admissions to hotel management programs like Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management ( Hons), Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, B.sc Hospitality & Hotel Administration Hotel Management, Catering & Tourism. The exam is also known as Jis Entrance Test. It consists of 120 Marks Multiple Choice Questions with no negative Marking. Questions from General Knowledge, General Intelligence, and General English are the main subjects of this examination. Total time allotted 2hrs. No negative marking on the answers. Cost of the Application Form and prospectus is Rs. 1000/- which can be paid through Debit card/Credit Card of any nationalized bank or through DD/Cheque in favour of “ Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management “ payable at Kolkata or cash payment is also accepted by the college. It is a 120 minutes ( 2 hours) written test with 115 Multiple Choice Questions and five brief descriptive type questions. Total marks are 150. ( divided into 115 × 1 = 115 , 5×7 = 35 ( total marks 150 ) . Questions are generally from English, Aptitude, General Knowledge & current affairs. Students application for admission Test JET will be held on 12th May,2015. All the Application Forms need to reach positively to us within 10th May, 2015. Students will receive Admit Card to appear for the admission test through email, speed post, or courier service. Please check website for time and date of admission test ( www.gnihm.ac.in ) College will not be responsible for postal day and wrong email address. The format of the Admission Test is given on the Website. Candidates are required to consult relevant periodicals and books for preparing for JET test. Candidates would not be allowed to carry any piece of paper or articles or book apart from the Admit Card in the Examination Centre. Any person found guilty of applying unfair means would have his/her examination cancelled. The final merit list will th be declared on 19 May,2015.
