PRODUCER POSITION OVERVIEW The Producer is responsible for developing, managing and executing multiple client initiatives relating to our video and multimedia business channels. His/her main responsibilities include managing projects from inception to final delivery, as well as effectively delivering projects on budget and in a timely manner. The Producer performs a variety of tasks, including coordinating resources, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and communicating the progress of projects to the client. The ideal candidate has an excellent understanding of video production and post-production workflow. RESPONSIBILITIES Planning • • • Plan projects in order to accomplish its goals within constraints such as time, cost and agreed quality standards Schedule tasks, deadlines and milestones for all stakeholders and resources Developing creative and innovative ideas while maintaining the integrity and spirit of specific brands Client Management • • • • • • Schedule and attend meetings with clients Clearly define the technology, in a clear and concise manner, to clients and propose solutions (where applicable) Report project milestones to the client throughout the production cycle. Obtain, discuss and follow through with feedback from client Develop a professional rapport with clients Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded in terms of quality of product and service delivered Day-to-Day Management • • • • • • • • Oversee the production workflow from pre-production to final delivery Work collaboratively and effectively with production team Gather assets required for production team to perform tasks Efficiently and competently manage problems Intimately understand the requirements of the project and ensure that work proceeds on spec Ability to monitor and provide progress reports for projects to stakeholders Ability to work collaboratively with the production team and effectively manage revisions to the scope and project plan as the needs of the client/project evolve Experience in video production. QUALIFICATIONS Education • Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking/Video Production or equivalent work experience. Desired Experience • 3 -‐ 5 years demonstrated experience in video production.
