2015 Golf Canada Men's and Women's Orders of Merit
Please note the following conditions which apply to the Criteria and Points:
1. Please refer to the Point Grid for the breakdown of points for positions by referring to the 1st place points awarded for each event.
2. A maximum of twelve (12) tournaments in the period from September 1, 2014 to August 31, 2015 will count for points
3. A player may play in more than twelve events on the tournament listing and only the best twelve events will count for points.
4. If two or more players tie for a position, other than first, points will be shared. E.g. - two players tieing for 2nd will share 2nd and 3rd place points.
5. If an event has a cut in the field to a number of players less the number of places on the grid below, points will only be awarded to players in the final standings
(E.g. Cut to low and ties earn points)
6. Sanctioned events and their relative weighting will be reviewed annually based on strength of field utilizing the World Amateur Golf Rankings using the following
guidelines with the exception of Canadian events which are rated higher due to their domestic value
7. Qualifying points (E.g. For USGA Events, Professional Tours, ect.) will be awarded only to those players that earn a spot in the field through a regional qualifying
event. Qualifying points will not be awarded to players who recieve an exemption (of any kind) into the event.
8. Any events played from Sept. 1, 2014 to August 31, 2015 that are subsequently ranked within the Top 250 events by the R&A World Amateur Golf Rankings will
count towards the 2015 National Men's and Women`s Order of Merit. This includes events that may NOT be listed on the 2015 National Men's Order of Merit
Tournament Listing of counting events. Golf Canada may also add and/or delete events based on strength and depth of field.
