Panzura Cloud-Integrated NAS: GFS 4000 Series
The NAS Series of Panzura Controllers have been tuned specifically to extend
the benefits of local NAS across a globally distributed enterprise. Built upon
the industry’s first true enterprise-class, cloud-integrated global file system,
the Panzura NAS series allows any user to access the latest version of any file
from any location at any time with little to no latency.
The Panzura Global File System provides users the ability to share files with
team members located anywhere in the world in near-real time. Data can be
accessed at any site, whenever needed. The Panzura Global Cloud Storage
System integrates with existing IT environments through standard CIFS/NFS
protocols, providing unlimited capacity with cloud economics.
The Panzura NAS series (plus cloud) provides all of the standard benefits of
the Panzura Global Cloud Storage System, including:

A consistent global file system for a common view of all files
across all locations at all times, accessible from anywhere.

Dynamic file locking to arbitrate write access to a single file
for users in geographically dispersed locations.
•
Data protection via continuous cloud replication.
•
Large local cache and data pinning capabilities to bring LANspeed access to commonly used files.
•
Active Directory integration and extended file system access
control lists (ACLs) to enforce permissions.
•
Up to 10,000 user-managed snapshots per controller for selfservice recovery of deleted files.
•
Military-grade AES-256-CBC and TLS encryption with FIPS
140-2 Federal validation.
GFS 4000 Series Controller Models
Panzura Cloud Storage Controllers enable a geographically distributed
NAS solution. And with all our controllers, our unique inline global
deduplication helps cut down on needed storage capacity. In fact, with
Panzura, deduplication and compression take place at a granular subfile (block) level, across the entire enterprise, providing not just a radical
reduction in overall storage needs but an increase in virtual local cache
capacity, as well.
GFS 4050
An ideal combination of performance and cache capacity capable of
meeting the broadest enterprise-level storage needs. A hybrid solution
consisting of both hard disk drives (HDD) and solid state drives (SSD),
the GFS 4050 solution supports more than 12TB of usable local cache.
This configuration provides an intelligent tiered storage cache for both
metadata and data operations. Metadata IOPS are accelerated with SSDs
and, through intelligent tiered caching, data is dispersed between the
SSD and the HDD tiers for fast read access of commonly used segments.
GFS 4070
Maximum performance with sufficient cache capacity. Lightning fast,
the GFS 4070 is an all SSD-enabled solution for enterprise-level storage
needs. With maximized IOPS performance, and more than 4.8TB of
usable local cache, this solution relies on 12 SSDs for rapid acceleration
of most frequently accessed data for multiple, active users.
GFS 4090
Maximum performance with increased cache capacity. Similar to the GFS
4070 solution, the GFS 4090 is geared for performance while providing
a larger cache for commonly used data segments. With more than 9.6TB
of usable local cache, this solution relies on 24 SSDs and is an optimal
solution for large environments with multiple, active users.
