Im kleinen Walliser Dorf Goppisberg im Aletschgebiet sind von der Geigerin Katharina Hardy im Sommer 1987
Musikwochen für ernsthaft musizierende Kinder und Jugendliche unter dem Namen dieses romantischen Dorfes
gegründet worden. Die Gründung dieser Veranstaltung war vom Gedanken geleitet, das instrumentale Können von
jungen Talenten in den Schulferien intensiv zu fördern. In den ersten Jahren wurden die Musikwochen im Dorf
Goppisberg selbst durchgeführt, doch erwies sich der Rahmen bei grösserer Zahl von Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer
als zu eng. So wurde der Standort der "Goppisberger Musikwochen" nach andern Orten des Oberwallis verlegt.
Der alte Name jedoch blieb, hinweisend auf die Anfangszeiten.
In the small Swiss mountain village of Goppisberg (in the region of Aletsch Wallis), the Violinist Katharina Hardy
founded a music course in the summer of 1987 for children and young people under the name of this village. The idea of
this course was to develop the instrumental talent of young, gifted pupils intensely during school holidays. During the
first years the music course was carried out in Goppisberg. Soon after, however, the Festival grew and was too large to
hold in Goppisberg. So from then on, the Goppisberg music Courses have taken place at other locations offering more
appropriate accommodation - the old name was nevertheless retained.

Deborah Katinka Spiegel Violine, Konzertmeisterin Festival Orchester, Schweiz
Deborah Spiegel wurde in Dielsdorf bei Zürich (CH) geboren. Seit ihrem sechsten Lebensjahr erhielt sie
Geigenunterricht bei Katharina Hardy in Zürich. Daneben nahm sie von 1985 bis 1995 Ballettunterricht an der
Ballettschule für das Opernhaus Zürich, sang im Kinderchor des Opernhaus Zürich und trat auch des Öfteren in
Kinderrollen auf. Bis 1995 nahm Deborah Spiegel an mehreren Wettbewerben teil; so war sie zweimal 1.
Preisträgerin mit Auszeichnung am internationalen Musikwettbewerb Stresa (I) oder gewann auch am Schweizerischen
Jugendmusikwettbewerb den 1. Preis mit Auszeichnung. Neben diversen Auftritten spielte die junge Künstlerin als Solistin mit dem
Stadtorchester Winterthur unter der Leitung von Rüdiger Bohn, sowie mit dem Zürcher Kammerorchester unter der Leitung von
Edmond de Stoutz. Seit 1986 nimmt Deborah Spiegel jährlich im Sommer 3 Wochen lang an den Goppisberger Musikwochen in
Grächen (VS) teil, wo sie mittlerweile als Konzertmeisterin und Lehrkraft tätig ist. Meisterkurse bei Pinchas Zukerman und Glen
Dicterow (Konzertmeister der New York Philharmonic) prägten ihre weitere Ausbildung. Zwischen 1996 und 1998 führte Deborah
Spiegel ihre Musikausbildung an der Temple University in Philadelphia, USA, bei Frau Prof. S. Ahramjian fort, wo sie auch den
High School Abschluss machte. Im September 1998 setzte Deborah Spiegel das Studium an der Eastman School of Music in
Rochester, USA, fort wo Prof. Blakeslee ihre Lehrerin war und erlangte 2002 erfolgreich das Konzertreife-Diplom. 2004 erwarb sie
das Solistendiplom bei Prof. Neil Weintrob an der Manhatten School of Music New York, USA. Weitere musikalische Anregungen
bekam sie zu dieser Zeit ebenfalls von Prof. Isaac Malkin, NY. Ebenso war sie zu dieser Zeit Mitglied des Haddonfield Symphony
Orchestra, Philadelphia welches unter der Leitung von Rossen Milanov steht.
Seit September 2006 ist Deborah Spiegel an der Badischen Philharmonie Pforzheim engagiert und übernahm 2009 die
Stimmführerposition der 2.Violine. Sie ist seit Sommer 2008 die neue Leiterin der Goppisberger Musikfestival und Akademie in
Grächen/Schweiz. 2009 gründete Deborah Spiegel mit Elena Lüthi (Klavier) und Eszter Baráti (Cello) Peter Somodari (Cello) das
SpiegelTrio. Frau Spiegel ist seit 2013 Aushilfe beim Radio Sinfonie Orchester SWR Stuttgart.

Deborah Katinka Spiegel Violin, Concertmaster Festival Orchestra, Switzerland
Swiss-born violinist Deborah Spiegel has garnered musical recognition globally and received numerous music
awards with honors. She is a two time first-prize winner of the International Competition in Stresa, Italy. Ms.
Spiegel won first prize in the Swiss Youth Competition (regional qualifying) and second prize in the final. As a
soloist accompanied by an orchestra, Ms. Spiegel has appeared with the City Orchestra Winterthur under the
baton of Ruediger Bohn, and with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Edmond de Stoutz. Apart from numerous
solo engagements, Deborah Spiegel has appeared at the International Goppisberger Music Festival in Grächen, Switzerland, where
she served as both Concertmaster and Musical Instructor. Outside of Europe, Deborah Spiegel has studied at festivals in Israel with
Pinchas Zukerman and in Colorado Springs with Glenn Dicterow. She is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and has
completed her Master’s Degree at The Manhattan School of Music, where she studied with Mr. Neil Weintrob. Ms. Spiegel has also
been a member of the Haddonfield Symphony in Philadelphia since 2004. In addition, for the past year she has studied privately with
Mr. Isaac Malkin while she served as a violin faculty member at the Monmouth Conservatory in Red Bank, New Jersey. Deborah
attributes her greatest musical inspiration to her grandmother Mrs. Katharina Hardy, who was born in Hungary. Ms. Spiegel has
been studying the violin with Mrs. Hardy for the past decade, from the time she began playing violin until the time she arrived in the
United States. Currently Deborah Spiegel is playing in different Orchestras as concertmaster and giving solo recitals in and out of
the country.
Since September 2006, Ms Spiegel has a position at the Badische Philharmonic Pforzheim in Germany as the principal of the second
Violin. Ms Spiegel is the new director of the Goppisberg Music festival and academy in Grächen / Switzerland. 2009 Deborah
Spiegel founded the SpiegelTrio with Elena Lüthi (Piano) and Eszter Baráti (Cello) Peter Somodari (Cello).
Since 2013 Ms. Spiegel is a Subsitute at the Radio Sinfonie Orchestra SWR Stuttgart.

Frau Katharina Hardy wurde in Ungarn geboren, wo sie auch als Geigerin ihr Studium an der Franz Liszt
Musikakademie mit einem Solistendiplom absolvierte. Zu ihren wichtigsten Lehrern zählten Kodály, Weiner und
Gabriel. Sie trat als Solistin sowie auch als Kammermusikerin an zahlreichen Konzerten in der Schweiz wo sie seit
1956 lebt - und im Ausland auf. Auf ihrem Programm standen Solowerke von alten und neuen Komponisten - mit
Orchesterbegleitung. Es wurden viele Radioaufnahmen mit ihr gemacht, unter anderem in den Studios von Budapest, Zürich,
Lausanne und Lugano. Seit 1985 widmete sie sich hauptsächlich der Lehrtätigkeit. Davon über lange Jahre an der Musikschule und
Konservatorium Winterthur. Als Orchestermusikerin war sie 18 Jahre lang Mitglied des Stadtorchesters Winterthur, davon 13 Jahre
lang als Stimmführerin der 2. Violinen. Weitere Orchestertätigkeiten: Mitwirkung im Tonhalle- und Opernhaus Orchester Zürich
sowie Zürcher Kammerorchester. Sie gründete im Jahr 1987 die "Goppisberger Musikwochen".
Instructor-Performer of Violin-, native Hungarian, holds diploma as a Soloist from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest,
her most important instructors were Kodaly, Weiner and Gabriel. She gave numerous solo- and, chamber music recitals in
Switzerland - where she is living since 1956 and abroad and appeared frequently as a soloist with orchestras, performing both,
classical and modern works. Many of her performances were recorded and broadcasted by the radio stations of Zurich, Lausanne,
Lugano and Budapest. As a orchestra musician she was a member of the Winterthur Stadtorchester for 18 years. During that period
she was principal of the second violin for 13 years. She also played at the Zurich Tonhalle- and Zurich Opera Orchestras. Since 1985
she has devoted her time mainly to instruction, for many years as a Member of Faculty for Violin at the Conservatory of Winterthur.
She founded the Goppisberg Music Weeks in 1987.
Jonas Alber Dirigent Festival Orchester, Deutschland
Dirigent
wurde in Offenburg geboren, studierte Violine und Dirigieren in Freiburg und ging dann nach Wien, wo er an der
Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst das Dirigierstudium abschloss. Die Herbert von Karajan-Stiftung
nahm ihn 1995 als Stipendiat auf. 1998 wurde JONAS ALBER als Generalmusikdirektor und Chefdirigent an das
Staatstheater Braunschweig berufen, zu diesem Zeitpunkt der deutschlandweit jüngste Dirigent in diesem Amt, das
er bis Sommer 2007 innehatte. JONAS ALBER leitete renommierte Orchester, wie etwa in Deutschland das
Sinfonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, das WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln, das Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Saarbrücken, das
MDR-Sinfonieorchester Leipzig, die Dresdner Philharmoniker, die Hamburger Symphoniker und die Bochumer Symphoniker. Er
dirigierte ausserdem auch das Flemish Radio Symphony Orchestra, das Orchestre National de Belgique, das Iceland Symphony
Orchestra, das Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, das Cape Philharmonic Orchestra, die Philharmonie Zagreb, das Armenian
Philharmonic Orchestra, das Orquestra Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, das Niederösterreichische Tonkünstlerorchester Wien, das
Sinfonieorchesters St. Gallen u. v. a. 2006 debütierte JONAS ALBER beim Residentie Orkest Den Haag im Concertgebouw
Amsterdam mit Richard Strauss' Alpensinfonie und beim City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in der Birmingham Symphony
Hall. Im Sommer 2007 kehrte JONAS ALBER ans Pult des Residentie Orkest Den Haag zurück. Weitere Engagements führen ihn u.
a. zum Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, zum Kristiansand Symfoniorkester, zum Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra und zum Orchestre
National de Lille. Er dirigierte im Rahmen des Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival in Kapstadt, das Orchestre
National de Lille beim TACTUS Festival in Mons, das Flemish Radio Symphony Orchestra beim Flandern Festival 2008, erneut das
Sinfonieorchester St. Gallen, das Zürcher Kammerorchester sowie das Belgrad Philharmonic Orchestra. Sein China-Debut feierte er
2009 mit dem Guangzhou Symphonny Orchestra, sein Japan-Debut mit dem Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra.

Conductor
was born in Offenburg, Germany, studied violin and conducting in Freiburg, and qualified as a conductor at the
Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna. He was awarded a scholarship by the Herbert von
Karajan Foundation in 1995. Three years later, he was appointed General Music Director of the Staatstheater
Braunschweig, thus becoming Germany’s youngest conductor in a position of this kind. He remained at this post
until summer 2007. As a symphonic guest conductor, JONAS ALBER has led many renowned orchestras. In
Germany, these include the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the WDR Sinfonieorchester Cologne, the RundfunkSinfonieorchester Saarbrücken, the MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig, the Dresdner Philharmoniker, Hamburger Symphoniker, and
Bochumer Symphoniker. He has also conducted the Niederösterreichisches Tonkünstlerorchester Vienna, the St. Gallen Symphony
Orchestra, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the Flemish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre National de Belgique, the

Japan debut with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra in May 2009. The current season brings him to Hanoi for his debut there with
the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and the Berliner Rundfunkchor on the occasion of the opening of the ‘Year of Germany’,

Veronika Czettner wurde 1950 in Budapest, Ungarn geboren. Als Studentin des weltberühmten Geigers Dénes
Kovács hat sie ihr Diplom an der Franz Liszt Musikakademie im Jahre 1976 absolviert. Sie war Mitglied des
Franz Liszt Symphonieorchesters zwischen 1976 und 1977 und spielt bis zum heutigen Tag noch gelegentlich mit.
Zwischen 1978 und 1987 war sie Mitglied der Ungarischen National Philharmoniker. Bis 1991 war Veronika
Czettner als Konzertmeisterin des Orchesters Concerto Budapest tätig. Sie war Gründerin und erste Violinistin des
weltberühmten Budapest Festival Orchesters. Als Lehrerin arbeitet sie im Béla Bartók Musik Gymnasium seit 1988. Sie ist die
Repräsentantin der sogenannten Kató Havas Methode; und organisierte Kurse von Kató Havas in Ungarn und publizierte auch drei
Bücher von ihr. Eine Methode welche Sie bei Ihren Schülern anwendet. Seit 2000 hat sie bereits 10 Kammermusik Kurse in Ungarn
organisiert, wo sie mit prominenten ungarischen Künstlern, unter anderen János Rolla, Mária Frank und György Konrád zusammen
unterrichtet hat. 1982 war sie Preisträgerin des Bartók-Pásztory Preises.
Veronika Czettner was born in 1950 in Budapest, Hungary. She graduated from Franz Liszt Academy of Music in 1976, as a student
of world famous violinist, Dénes Kovács. Veronika was a member of the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra from 1976 to 1977 and she
has occasionally played there since then. From 1978 to 1987 she was a first violinist in the Hungarian National Philharmonics. In
1982 she was honoured with the Bartók-Pásztory Award. After leaving the Philharmonics, she started to work for the Concerto
Budapest as the concertmaster until 1991. She was the founder and first violin player of the world famous Festival Orchestra
Budapest. Since 1988, she is teaching at Béla Bartók High school of Music. She is the representative of the special method of Kato
Haves. She organized Kato Haves courses in Hungary and published three of Kató Havas’s books in Hungarian. Veronika Czettner
has been using this method focused on teaching young students. Since 2000 she has organized 10 Chamber Music courses in
Hungary where she taught together with prominent Hungarian artists, such as János Rolla, Mária Frank György Konrád etc.
Natalja Fichtengoltz Violine / Violin, Russland / Russia

Natalja Fichtengoltz ist eine berühmte Geigenlehrerin in Moskau, Russland. Sie absolvierte ihr Diplom an der
Russischen Gnessins Musikakademie. und unterrichtete dort 1978 bis 2005. Seit 2005 ist Frau Fichtengoltz
Professorin an der Fachschule des Moskauer Konservatoriums und auch Dozentin an der Staatlichen Klassischen
Akademie Majmonid. Viele Ihrer Schüler und Studenten erhielten Preise an internationalen Wettbewerben. Einige
von Ihnen sind Mitglieder berühmter Orchester. Frau Fichtengoltz gibt regelmäßig Meisterkurse in verschiedenen
Städten Russlands, sowie auch in Deutschland, Japan, Griechenland und Frankreich und ist seit mehr als 10 Jahren Mitglied der
Internationalen Stiftung „Neue Namen“. Sie ist ebenfalls auch Leiterin des Geigen-Ensemble “Neue Namen“.
Frau Fichtengoltz ist Jurymitglied bei vielen internationalen Wettbewerben.
Natalja Fichtengoltz is a famous violin teacher in Moscow Russia. She successfully completed her diploma at the Russian Gnessins
music academy .She was a teacher there from1978 till 2005. Since 2005 Mrs Fichtengoltz is professor at the state classic academy
and college of the Moscow conservatory .Many of her students won prizes at international competitions and some of them are now
members of famous orchestras. Natalja Fichtengoltz teaches at many masterclasses in Russia, Germany, Greece and France. For over
10 years she is a member of the international foundation „New Names” and the leader of the violin ensemble “New names“.
Mrs Fichtengoltz participates as a jury member at many international competitions.

Violinistin Irina Müller konzertiert regelmäßig mit Hornisten Nick Murdick als Duo und Trio. Konzerte hat Irina Müller
bereits in vielen Staaten Amerikas gegeben, und ist als Orchestermusikerin in Europa und Japan aufgetreten. Als Solistin
spielte sie mehrmals das Brahms Violinkonzert in Deutschland und Rumänien. Ihre Bachelor und Master of Music Diplome
sowie ein Arts Leadership Zertifikat erhielt sie von der Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, USA, und anschliessend
erwarb sie ein Solistendiplom an der Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik Trossingen. Zu ihren Lehrern zählen David Russell,
Lynn Blakeslee, und Winfried Rademacher. Anschliessend an ihr Solistendiplom wohnte Frau Müller drei Jahre in Montana,
USA, wo sie Co-Konzertmeisterin des Great Falls Symphony Orchesters war, und mit dessen Streichquartett sie in Montana und umliegenden
Staaten auftratt. Zusätzlich unterrichtete sie als Zusatz Lehrkraft an der University of Great Falls, und wöchentlich in Havre, Montana in dem
“Künstler in Schulen und Gemeinden Programm,” welches ein Projekt von dem Hi-Line Arts Project, Northern Schowcase Concert Association,
und Montana Arts Council war. Seit Herbst 2014 arbeitet Frau Müller an ihrer Dissertation für ihr Doctor of Arts Diplom an der Ball State
University in Muncie, Indiana, wo sie Graduate Assistant ist. Für das 2014-2015 Schuljahr wurde sie von den "Jugend Symphonischen Orchestern
von Ost-Central Indiana" als Dirigentin für das Prelude Orchester engagiert, wo sie mit jungen Streicherschülern arbeitet. Frau Müller spielt
regelmässig als Aushilfe mit Orchestern in Indiana, Ohio, und Michigan, unter anderem als Associate Musician der Columbus Symphony in Ohio
und mit dem Fort Wayne Philharmonischen Orchester. Seit Herbst 2013 ist Frau Müller Mitglied des Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.

Violinist Irina Mueller regularly performs with hornist Nick Murdick in duo and trio collaborations. Solo recitals have taken her throughout the
United States and Germany, and as an orchestral musician she has toured Europe and Japan. She has appeared as soloist with orchestras,
performing the Brahms Violin Concerto in Germany and Romania. Ms. Mueller holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees and an Arts
Leadership Certificate from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and she has been awarded a Soloist’s Diploma by the Staatliche
Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen, Germany. Principal teachers have included David Russell, Lynn Blakeslee, and Winfried Rademacher. For
three years she served as Co-Concertmaster of the Great Falls Symphony in Montana, USA, and performed with the symphony's resident string

Ms. Mueller also provided weekly string instruction in Havre, Montana as “Artist in Residence” for the “Artists in Schools and Communities
Program,” a collaboration between the Hi-Line Arts Project, Northern Showcase Concert Association, and Montana Arts Council. Since the fall of
2014 Ms. Mueller is working on her dissertation as the final requirement for the Doctor of Arts Degree at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana,
where she is a full graduate assistant. For the 2014-2015 school year Ms. Mueller was invited to serve as conductor for the Prelude Orchestra, a
beginning strings ensemble for the Youth Symphony Orchestras of East Central Indiana. Ms. Mueller performs regularly with orchestras in Indiana,
Ohio, and Michigan, including the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and as Associate Musician with the Columbus Symphony in Ohio. Since the fall of
2013 Ms. Mueller is a member of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra.

Aram Badalian erhielt seinen ersten Geigenunterricht im Alter von 7 Jahren. Er studierte am 'P.I.Tschaikowsky Konservatorium' für junge und sehr begabte Musiker in Eriwan, Armenien. Er gewann verschiedene nationale und
internationale Wettbewerbe, und spielte mit Eriwans wichtigsten Orchestern. 2001 bis 2004 studierte er in Brüssel
(Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles) mit Valery und Igor Oistrakh. Er setzte sein Studium fort in Waterloo, in der
berühmten Musikkapelle Königin Elisabeth, wo er mit Augustin Dumay und Tatiana Samouil zusammenarbeitete. Ende 2005 wurde Herr
Badalian, nach einem Vorspiel, bei Professor Josef Rissin an die Karlsruher Hochschule für Musik eingeladen um dort sein Masterstudium
abzuschließen.
Er ist Preisträger verschiedener Wettbewerbe und spielt regelmäßig Konzerte in Europa, Russland, Ukraine, Armenien und Amerika. In
2009 wurde er zu einer Konzerttournee in Süd Afrika eingeladen.
Aram arbeitete zusammen mit großen Musikern wie Albrecht Breuninger (2. Preis Königin Elisabeth Wettbewerb 1997), Liviu Prunaru
(Konzertmeister des Concertgebouw Orchesters Amsterdam), Valery Oistrakh und vielen anderen.
Seit 2008 ist Aram Stipendiat der Robus Stiftung (Antwerpen, Belgien). Herr Badalian ist seit 2013 am Goppisberger Musik Festival als
Lehrer, Kammermusiker und Solist dabei.
Aram Badalian started playing the violin at the age of 7. After the general music education, he had to opportunity to study at the
Tschaikowsky-Conservatory for young and exceptional talents in Yerevan. At this period he won several national competitions, and he
played with Yerevan's most important orchestras.
In September 2001 Mr. Badalian entered the Royal Music Conservatory in Brussels, where he studied with Valery & Igor Oistrakh until
2004. He continued his studies at the famous Queen Elisabeth College of Music, with Augustin Dumay and Tatiana Samouil as teachers.
At the end of 2005, after an audition, the great violin-pedagogue Josef Rissin invited him to come and study in his violin studio at the
‘Staatliche Hochschule für Musik’ in Karlsruhe, Germany where Mr. Badalian obtained his Masters degree.
As the winner of numerous national and international competitions, Mr. Badalian performs regularly in Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Armenia,
and the United States. In 2009 he was invited to give a concert tour in South Africa.
As a chamber musician he has collaborated with internationally acclaimed musicians such as Albrecht Breuninger (2nd prize Queen
Elisabeth competition 1997), Liviu Prunaru (Concertmaster Concertgebouw Amsterdam), Valery Oistrakh, and many others.
Since 2008, Aram is sponsored by the Robus Foundation. Since 2013 Mr. Badalian has been a faculty member, chamber musician, and
soloist at the Goppisberger Music Festival.

Jessica Niggli, in Zürich geboren, begann mit fünf Jahren Geige zu spielen und wurde von Therese Starck
und Tsipora Comfort unterrichtet. 1999 wechselte sie zu Nicolas Corti ans Konservatorium Zürich. 2003
nahm sie ihr Studium an der Hochschule der Künste Zürich/Winterthur bei Robert Zimansky auf. Nach der
Matura begann sie an der Universität Zürich Anglistik zu studieren und führte gleichzeitig ihr
Violinstudium in Bern bei Detlef Hahn fort, das sie 2008 mit dem Lehrdiplom (Pädagogik mit
Auszeichnung) abschloss. Inzwischen hat sie zwei weitere Masterstudiengänge an der Guildhall School of Music and Drama in
London bzw. an der Norwegischen Musikhochschule in Oslo absolviert. Sie nahm auch an verschiedenen Festivals und
Meisterkursen teil (u.a mit Midori Guto, Roy Malan, Dora Schwarzberg, Maximiliano Quarta, Charles Castleman, Alf Richard
Kraggerud, Adelina Oprean, Bartek Niziol und Andrew Manze) und gewann mehrere Preise an nationalen und regionalen
Musikwettbewerben in der Schweiz und in Norwegen. Zudem gab sie zahlreiche Rezitale in Europa und in den USA und
konzertierte als erste Geige mit dem Streichquartet "Iris" in der Tonhalle Zürich. Frau Niggli unterrichtet zurzeit an der
„Musikschule Illnau-Effretikon" und erteilt auch Privatunterricht.
Jessica Niggli, born in Zürich, began to play the violin at the age of five and was taught by Therese Starck and Tsipora Comfort. In

Martin Masan ist 1978 in Basel, Schweiz, in einer musikalischen Familie geboren. Er begann mit Violinunterricht im Alter von
sieben Jahren bei F. Zoldy und Emilie Haudenschild. (Konzertmeisterin des Basler Symphonieorchesters).
Martin ist Gründer und Primarius des SONORIS Quartetts Wien, welches durch die Unterstützung der Karl Klingler Stiftung an
Meisterkursen teilnehmen konnte und in namhaften Festivals wie Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, sowie berühmten Sälen wie
Wigmore Hall, Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie aufgetreten ist. Das Quartett spielte u.a. im Wiener Konzerthaus, mit Mihaela
Ursuleasa Aufnahmen für Radio DRS, wie auch im Stadtcasino Basel. Martin Masan ist regelmäßig Gast in Festivals wie
Uroczysko, PL, oder UNESCO World Heritage Festival in Kyoto, Japan. Er spielte Konzerte in Kolumbien als Solist mit dem Orquesta Nacional de
Colombia unter Rossen Milanov. Konzerte führten ihn nach Polen, Deutschland, Schweiz, Kanada, USA, Argentinien, Indien. Er hat mit dem Orkiestra

Martin Masan was born 1978 in Basel, Switzerland into a family of musicians. He began studying the violin at the age of seven with Françoise Zoldy and
Emilie Haudenschild. (concertmaster of the Basel Symphony Orchestra). Masan is the founder and first violinist of the SONORIS Quartet Wien which
received the Karl Klingler Scholarship to take part in masterclasses at Schubertiade Schwarzenberg and to perform in prestigious halls such as the Wigmore
Hall and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie. The quartet has also given recitals at the Stadtcasino Basel and the Vienna Konzerthaus with pianist Mihaela
Ursuleasa, which was recorded for teh Swiss Radio DRS. Martin Masan also was guest soloist in International Festivals such as the Uroczysko in Poland
and the UNESCO World Heritage Festival in Kyoto, Japan. Recently, he was engaged for a series of performances in Colombia as a soloist with Orquestra
Nacional de Colombia under Rossen Milanov. He recorded the Brahms Violin Concerto with the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw under the direction of
Tomasz Bugaj for the Polskie Radio, as well as the Tchaikovsky concerto in Germany with D. Schöller Manno and Beethoven concerto in Vienna and
Musikverein Graz under Svetoslav Borisov. He gave performances with Bombay Chamber Orchestra, the TU Orchestra Wien under Vijay Upadhyaya and
Orchestra di Bacau under Ovidiu Balan. His musical partners involve Rachel Barton Pine (violin), Nora Romanoff Schwarzberg (viola) and Mihaela

Olga Bulakova, geboren in Moskau, erhielt ihre Ausbildung an der Zentralmusikschule und am Moskauer
Konservatorium als Bratschistin bei Prof. A. Bobrovsky und bei Prof. V. Berlinsky (“Borodin-Quartett’). Seit 1995
ist sie Mitglied des “Moskau-Quartetts”, mit dem sie mehrere internationale Wettbewerbe gewann, Internationale
Gottfried-von-Einem Wettbewerb(Österreich), Internationale Schostakowitsch-Streichquartett-Bewerb
(St.-Petersburg).Olga Bulakova nahm an vielen Meisterklassen mit dem legendären Amadeus-Quartett, Alban BergQuartett, Prag-Quartett, und dem Budapest-Quartett teil. Sie spielte auf CD-Aufnahmen (mit den bekannten europäischen Firmen
“Olympia Records” - GB und “Pan Classics” - Schweiz) sowie an zahlreichen Konzerten in Europa (Österreich, Schweiz, Italien,
Frankreich, Niederlande, Spanien, Deutschland, Asien (China, Taiwan, Kuwait) und in Amerika. Olga Bulakova nahm an
Musikfestivals in ganz Europa teil wo sie mit renommierten Musikern wie Sigfried Palm, Alexander Rudin, Saulius Sondeckis,
Alexander Brussilowsky, an-Fransua Antonioli, Konstantin Liwschits, Komponist Luciano Metianu und vielen anderen in
Kammerensembles spielte. Seit 1994 spielt Olga Bulakova beim österreichischen Kammerorchester “Arpeggione” als
Bratschenstimmführerin. Bulakova lebt in Moskau und unterrichtet Bratsche sowie Kammermusik an der Zentralmusikschule und
am Akademischen Musik College des Moskauer Tschaikowski-Konservatoriums.

Die Ungarisch – US-Amerikanische Bratschistin Anna Pelczer ist für die 2013-2014 Spielzeit die
stellvertretende Stimmführerin der Bratschengruppe der Badischen Staatskapelle in Karlsruhe und auch
international freiberuflich. Frau Pelczer hat als Solobratschistin des English National Balletts in London als
stellv. Solo-Bratsche beim Malaysian Philharmonic Orchester in Kuala Lumpur gastiert und war die
stellvertretende Solobratschistin des Beethoven Orchesters Bonn in der Spielzeit 2010/2011. Zudem tritt sie
regelmäßig mit dem HR Sinfonieorchester in Frankfurt und WDR Rundfunkorchester in Köln auf. In der jüngeren Vergangenheit
hat sie oft bei amerikanischen Orchestern, u.A. das New Century Kammerorchester und das New Haven Symphony Orchester
mitgespielt. Als begeisterte Kammermusikerin hat Frau Pelczer mit vielen bemerkenswerten Künstlern, darunter Carter Brey und
Krystof Penderecki gespielt und mit der Einladung des Leiters Gilberto Munguia, tritt sie als Gast beim Festival de San Miguel de
Allende in Mexiko auf. Frau Pelczer erforscht als Gründerin des NRW-Zweiges der Organisation „Classical Revolution“ die
Möglichkeiten der Kammermusik, ein neues Publikum durch außergewöhnlichen Spielorten und innovative Programmierung zu
erreichen. Frau Pelczer arbeitet mit vielen neuen Komponisten. Durch ihre Mitarbeit bei "Nachtklänge" Konzertreihe der Badischen
Staatstheaters, als Teil der „Weill Music Institute Professional Training Workshop" in Carnegie Hall, New York und verschiedene
Uraufführungen von Kaija Saariaho, ist sie eine große Unterstützerin der Zeitgenössischen Musik. Als Lehrerin hat Frau Pelczer als
Kammermusik Coach bei der Amateur Kammermusikwoche in Verbier (CH) und als Lehrbeauftragte für Bratsche bei der Yale
School of Music gearbeitet. Neben der Stelle in Karlsruhe ist Frau Pelczer Privatlehrerin und bietet Nachhilfe für
Probespielvorbereitungen. Anna Pelczer besuchte die Yale School of Music von 2001 bis 2007 und war Schülerin von Professor
Jesse Levine. Durch verschiedene Sommerengagements konnte Frau Pelczer in Meisterkursen mit Zoltán Tóth, Bruno Pasquier, und

Anna Pelczer Viola, Hungary

Hungarian-American violist Anna Pelczer is currently serving as Assistant Principal Viola in the Badische
Staatskapelle in Karlsruhe, Germany for the 2013-2014 Season. An experienced orchestral leader, she recently
performed as Guest Principal Viola with the English National Ballet in London, as Assistant Principal Viola of
the Beethoven Orchestra in Bonn, Germany for the 2010-11 season, and as Guest Assistant Principal with the
Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. Having worked internationally as a freelance violist, she has performed often
with such groups as the HR Sinfonieorchester in Frankfurt and the WDR Rundfunkorchester in Cologne, Germany, and was
formerly a regular substitute with the New Century Chamber Orchestra in San Francisco and the New Haven Symphony Orchestra
in the United States. An avid chamber musician, Anna Pelczer has collaborated with many notable artists, among them Carter Brey
and Krystof Penderecki, and performed at the invitation of Director Gilberto Munguia at the Festival de San Miguel de Allende in
Mexico. Looking to bring classical music to new and varied audiences, Ms. Pelczer founded the NRW branch of Classical
Revolution in 2012. A frequent collaborator for contemporary works, she recently premiered several new works by Kaija Saariaho
as part of the Weill Music Institute Professional Training Workshops at Carnegie Hall and currently performs in the "Nachtklänge"
concert series at the Badisches Staatstheater. An active teacher, Ms. Pelczer has served as a coach at the Amateur Chamber Music
Week at the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, as teaching assistant at the Yale School of Music, and maintains a private studio. Anna
Pelczer attended Yale University and the Yale School of Music as a student of Jesse Levine from 2001-2007, and has attended
masterclasses with Zoltán Tóth, Bruno Pasquier, and Rainer Moog. A former Fellow with the New World Symphony, she has also
attended the International Ensemble Modern Academy, the Festival Pablo Casals in Prades, and performed as principal viola at the
Verbier, Schleswig-Holstein, Luzern, and Tanglewood Music Festivals. Ms. Pelczer performs on a viola made in 2011 by Ersen
Aycan of Freiburg, Germany.

Mihály Simkó-Várnagy wurde 1981 in Budapest / Ungarn geboren. Als Student von Tamás Koó hat er sein Solo
und Lehrdiplom an der Franz Liszt Musikakademie absolviert. Zwischen 2006 und 2008 hat er am Musik Studio
Kõbánya Jazz und Bassgitarre studiert. Im Jahre 2005 erhält er den Sonderpreis der Internationaler Johannes
Brahms Wettbewerb in Pörtschach. Ab 2000 war Herr Várnagy lange Student des Szarvas Kammermusik Lager,
später dann wurde er als Lehrer engagiert .Er ist Mitglied von mehreren Ungarischen Kammer- und Jazzformationen. In 2007 hat er
als Gast zwei Wochen mit dem Tonus Novus Quartett in Spanien verbracht und auch im selben Jahr hat er an der ABC
Internationalem Musikwettbewerb Live Award in Austria teilgenommen, wo er mit Fugato Orchester den 9. Platz mit dem beste
Titel und als beste ungarische Band erhalten hat. Unter anderen hat Herr Várnagy als Solist mit dem Budapest BM Orchester,
Terézváros Jugend Orchester und Dohnányi Ernõ Sinfonische Orchester gespielt. Seit 2006 ist er Solocellist im Dohnányi Ernõ
Sinfonie Orchester und Aushilfe an der Ungarischen Staatsoper und Radio-Sinfonie Orchester Ungarn. Seine Musikkarriere ist
vielfältig. Neben Klassisch und Jazz Musik, beschäftigt er sich mit Latinmusik und interessiert sich auch für Pop / rock und
elektronische Musik.
Mihály Simkó-Várnagy was born in 1981 in Budapest, Hungary. He graduated as soloist and teacher in 2005 at the Franz Liszt
Academy of Music, he was a student of Mr. Tamás Koó.From 2006 till 2008 he studied jazz and bassguitar at the Jazz music Studio
of Kobanya. In 2005 Mr. Simkó-Várnagy won a special prize at the Brahms International cello Competition of Pörtschach. From
2000 Mr. Simkó-Várnagy was a student every year at the Chambermusic Course of Szarvas (hungary), his teachers there where
János Rolla, Mária Frank and György Konrád, since 2009 he is a teacher of this festival. He is a member of several chamber and jazz
formation in Hungary.In 2007 he spended two weeks in Spain as a guest with the Tonus Novus quartet. In the same year he won 9th
place at the ABC international competition Live Award in Austria as the best Hungarian band and best Title with Fugato Orchestra.
As a solioist Mr. Simkó-Várnagy played with the Hungarian BM Orchestra, the Youth Orchestra of Terézváros and the Erno
Dohnányi Symphonic Orchestra. Since 2006 he is the solo cellist of the Erno Dohnányi symphonic orchetra and plays in several
hungarian orchestras, like the National Opera of Budapest, the National Philharmonics and the Orchestra of the Hungarian Radio.
His works of music are very diversified. Beside playing classic and jazz, he takes up with latin music, pop ,rock and electric music in
various arrangements.

Ildikó Rönkös, geboren in Budapest, begann mit 8 Jahren Cello zu spielen. Ihre Ausbildung erhielt sie an der Liszt
Ferenc Musikakademie Budapest, wo sie bei László Szilvásy, László Mező, Márta Gulyás und Ferenc Rados
studierte. Sie nahm an Meisterkursen in Szombathely mit Miklós Perényi und György Kurtág teil. Drei Jahre
arbeitete sie mit dem Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester unter der Leitung von Claudio Abbado. Seit 1991
unterrichtet Ildikó Rönkös Cello in verschiedenen Musikmittelschulen in Vác und Budapest. Sie spielt in dem
Orchester „Ungarische Virtuosi” und ist Mitglied des „Budapest 12 Cello” Orchesters.
Seit 1999 ist sie Mitglied der Ungarischen Staatsoper.

Dénes Karasszon begann mit 7 Jahren Cello zu spielen. Sein Diplom erhielt er 2006 von der Liszt Ferenc
Musikakademie Budapest, wo er bei Katalin Bánfalvi, Ottó Kertész, Márta Gulyás und Rita Wagner studierte. An
dem Antal Friss Wettbewerb gewann Dénes Karasszon 1993 den Niveau Preis, und in 1996 den II. Preis. 1999
errang er zusätzlich den 3. Preis an dem János Starker Wettbewerb. 1997 gab Dénes Karasszon in dem Leipziger

Dénes Karasszon started to play Cello at the age of 7. He graduated from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where he was a

Lüthi (geb. Skachkova) wurde 1980 in Lovech, Bulgarien geboren. Ihre erste Klavierstunde erhielt sie im
Alter von 5 Jahren. 1998 schloss sie ihre Matura an der Schule für Musik in Pleven (Bulgarien) mit
Auszeichnung ab. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt gewann sie bereits Preise an verschiedenen nationalen und
internationalen Wettbewerben, darunter den 2. Preis beim „Isolla di Capri“ in Italien (1995), den „Sascha
Lambreva Preis“ (1997) in Bulgarien und den 2. Preis beim „Franz Schubert“ (1998 und 2001) ebenfalls in
Bulgarien. Von 1998-2001 studierte sie bei Prof. Atanas Kurtev und Doz. Krasimir Gatev an der Musik Akademie in Sofia.
2001-2003 studierte sie an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater Zürich/Winterthur in der Klavierklasse von Prof. Hans-Jürg
Strub, wo sie mit dem Konzertdiplom abschloss. Sie besuchte die Meisterklassen von Katrin Wickers, Detlef Kraus, Milan
Skampa, Ludmil Angelov, und Germaine Mounie. Ausserdem nahm sie bereits mehrmals an dem Goppisberger Musik
Festival teil und hat regelmässig Konzertauftritte im In- und Ausland. Sie unterrichtet Klavier an der Musikschule Prova ,
Winterthur und die Städtische Musikschule Illnau-Effretikon. Seit 2009 spielt Elena Lüthi im Spiegel Trio zusammen mit
Deborah Spiegel (Violine) und Eszter Baráti (Cello).

Mrs. Elena Lüthi Skachkova was born 1980 in Lovech, Bulgaria. She recieved her first piano lesson at the age of 5. In 1998
she graduated with honors from the School of Music in Pleven (Bulgaria). At that time, she already won prizes in various

Liselotte wurde am 6. Juni 1987 in Kortrijk, Belgien, geboren. Sie erhielt ihren ersten Klavierunterricht im Alter von 7
Jahren. Die junge Pianistin begann ihr Klavierstudium 2004 an der ‘Musikkapelle Königin Elisabeth’ im belgischen
Waterloo mit Abdel Rahman El Bacha und Dimitris Saroglou. Ein Jahr später wechselte sie zum Königlichen
Konservatorium nach Brüssel, wo sie bei Daniel Blumenthal und Hans Ryckelynck ihr Studium bis 2008 vertiefte. Seit
April 2008 studiert sie an der Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe in der Klasse von Kaya Han und hat dort seit dem Wintersemester 20102011 einen Lehrauftrag für Klavier als Pflichtfach inne. Seit Januar 2011 studiert Liselotte auch bei den berühmten Klavierpedagoge und
Professor Jean Fassina in Paris, Erbe der polnische Klaviertradition, zurückgehend bis Paderewski und Chopin. Liselotte Vermote gewann
mehrere Wettbewerbe in Belgien. Ausser in ihrer Heimat konnte man sie bereits in Konzerten in der Schweiz (Festival de Sion), in
Deutschland, in Bulgarien (Sofia & Plovdiv) und im April 2009 auch in Südafrika hören. In zahlreichen Aufführungen trat sie sowohl
solistisch als auch in Duo mit Aram Badalian (Violine) und Trio mit Aram Badalian und Frol Golivets (Klarinette)auf. Liselotte besuchte
verschiedene Meisterkurse bei Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Daniel Blumenthal, Boyan Vodenitcharov, Piet Kuijken, Dmitri Bashkirov,
Menahim Pressler, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, Jean Fassina und Boris Petrushansky. Sie ist Stipendiatin der Robus Foundation (Belgien)
und wurde 2010 gemeinsam mit ihren Triopartnern Aram Badalian (Violine) und Frol Golivets (Klarinette) in die Menuhin-Förderung «
Live Music Now Oberrhein » aufgenommen.

started her musical education in 2004 in the Queen Elisabeth College of Music. She studied there for one year (Preparatory Module) with

Conservatory with Daniel Blumenthal and Hans Ryckelynck. As from april 2008, Liselotte takes lessons at 'Staatliche Hochschule für

Since january 2011, Liselotte also takes lessons with the famous pedagogue and professor Jean Fassina in Paris. Liselotte won several
prizes in different national piano competitions, such as Cantabile, André-Modeste Grétry and others. Like this, she could give many
concerts and gain more experience on stage. She took part in the ‘Festival de Sion’ (Switzerland), and she played 3 concerts for ‘Jugend
Musiziert’ in Nordrhein-Westfalen (Germany). She was also invited to Bulgary where she played 2 concerts in Sofia and Plovdiv. In April
2009, she was even in South Africa for chamber music concerts with her partner Aram Badalian. Liselotte had already had many
masterclasses with professors like Abdel Rahman El Bacha, Daniel Blumenthal, Boyan Vodenitcharov, Piet Kuijken, Dmitri Bashkirov,
Menahim Pressler, Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden, Jean Fassina and Boris Petrushansky. She received a scholarship from the Robus

Shahane Zurabova wurde in Yerevan, Armenien geboren. Bald nahm sie ihr Publikum durch ihr musikalisches
Talent, ihre technische Brillanz und ihren überzeugenden Interpretationen gefangen und gewann ihren ersten
nationalen Wettbewerb im Alter von 10 Jahren. Schon als Studentin spielte sie in Meister-Klassen, sowie als
Solistin und Kammermusikerin in verschiedenen Konzerten. Im Jahre 2008 beendete sie ihr Studium am
Komitas-Konservatorium mit Auszeichnung und begann ein Klavierstudium an der Hochschule für Musik in der Klasse von Prof. Adrian Oetiker.
2010 hat Shahane Zurabova den Studiengang Master of Performance mit dem Konzertdiplom abgeschlossen.
Im Sommer 2012 hat sie den Studiengang Master of Pädagogik mit dem Lehrdiplom abgeschlossen. Seit 2013 ist sie Teilnehmerin an der
international renommierten Imola Piano Academy bei Prof. Vovka Ashkenazy und Boris Petrushansky wie auch an der Musikhochschule Basel bei
Prof. A. Oetiker und Prof. T. Schabenberger. In der Schweiz ist sie zahlreich als Solistin aufgetreten: am Chopin-Festival in Bern und Zürich, wie
auch in den Konzertreihen Titus Beflügelt oder in der Heiliggeistkirche Basel. Als Kammermusikerin war Shahane in der von der Presse gefeierten
Konzertreihe Klassikkuppel Basel, der Mimiko Konzertreihe, sowie in der Gesellschaft für Musiktheater Wien zu hören. In 2011 war sie
Preisträgerin der Fondation Nicati de Luze in Lausanne. Aktive Meisterkurse hat sie bei renommierten Musikern wie u.a. Piotr Anderszewski,
Stephen Kovacevic, Prof. Ivan Monighetti, Prof. Conradin Brotbek, Prof. Filippo Gamba und Prof. Gérard Wyss besucht.
Shahane Zurabova was born in Yerevan, Republic of Armenia, into a family of musicians. She began to study the piano at the age of six. Soon she

the age of 10. After graduating from the Musical School with I. P. Hakhnazaryan in 1999, she continued her education in the class of Professor S.
Dadyan at the Music College R. Meliqyan. Ms. Zurabova graduated from the College with honors in 2003. She then entered the class of Professor
Z. Barseghyan at the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan. During her studies she participated in masterclasses and concerts as soloist as well as
chamber musician. In 2008 she graduated with honors and continued her education in the class of Professor Adrian Oetiker at Basel’s MusicAcademy in Switzerland. In 2010 Shahane Zurabova received the Master of Performance Degree with a concert diploma, and in 2012 she
successfully concluded the Master of Arts in music pedagogy.
In Switzerland Ms. Zurabova has given several concerts as a soloist, such as at the Chopin Festival in Bern and Zurich, Titus Beflügelt, and
Heiliggeistkirche Basel. As a chamber musician she has performed at the Festival “Klassikkuppel” in Basel, which was highly praised by the press
in Switzerland. She has also appeared at the Mimiko Concert Series. Recently she performed in Vienna for the Gesellschaft für Musiktheater.
In 2011 Shahane Zurabova was a prizewinner of the Nicati de Luze Fondation in Lausanne. Since 2013 Ms. Zurabova has taken part in the famous

geboren 1954, erhielt ihre Ausbildung an der Moskauer Gnessin Akademie für Musik. Als Solistin war sie von
1978 bis 1988 mit dem Sibirischen Violinen Ensemble tätig. Von 1988 bis 2005 unterrichtete sie an zahlreichen
Musikhochschulen, unter anderem auch der berühmten Gnessin Musikhochschule. Seit 2005 ist sie Klavier
Begleiterin und Dozentin für Klavier an der Musikhochschule des Moskauer Konservatorium und an der
Maimonides Staatlichen Akademie in Moskau.
Als Solistin und Begleiterin ist Evgeniya auf vielen Aufnahmen mit dem Sibirischen Violinen Ensemble zu hören. Sie spielte als
erste Sofia Gubaidulina's Volksstücke für Domra und Klavier. Evgeniya hat bereits in den USA und Italien konzertiert, sowie auch
in etlichen Städten Russlands, unter anderen in allen grossen Konzertsälen in Moskau und St. Petersburg. Für ihre Arbeit mit jungen
Künstlern erhielt sie sämtliche Auszeichnungen.

American horn player Nick Murdick is active as soloist, chamber musician, teacher and orchestral performer. As a freelance
musician Mr. Murdick has performed with orchestras in the United States and abroad including The Calgary Philharmonic
Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony, Pops and Chamber Orchestras, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, ProMusica Columbus, Fort
Wayne Philharmonic, and Grand Rapids Symphony Orchestra. Nick Murdick has performed as a soloist and with chamber
ensembles in the USA, Canada, and Germany. In July 2015 Mr. Murdick is scheduled to perform with the famous alphorn virtuoso

Elizabeth Priestly Siffert Oboe, USA

Elizabeth Priestly Siffert erwarb ihren Schulabschluss an der Housten Texas High School for Performing and
Visual Arts und erhielt 2002 ihren Bachelor und zwei Performer’s Zertifikate an der Eastman School of Music in
Rochester NY, wo sie bei Prof. Richard Killmer studierte. In den letzten Jahren trat Ms. Priestly Siffert solistisch
mit renommierten Orchestern auf, unter anderem mit dem Rochester Philharmonic Orchester und dem St.
Luke’s, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchester. Elizabeth Priestly ist auch als Orchestermusikerin sehr aktiv, sie spielte
schon mit dem Houston Symphony Orchester, Orquestra dos Sonhos, und mit dem Phoenix Symphony Orchester.
Sie war bereits zweite Oboistin in dem Binghamton Philharmonic Orchester (2001-2003) und solo Oboistin in dem Sinfonica
Orchester de Mineria (2003-2007). Seit 2008 ist Frau Priestly Siffert solo Oboistin an dem Houston Grand Opernhaus und Houston
Ballett Orchester.
Elizabeth Priestly Siffert is a graduate of Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. She received a Bachelor of
Music and two Performer's Certificates from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Richard Killmer. Ms. Priestly
Siffert has made frequent solo performances throughout the years with orchestras including the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra
and Orchestra of St. Luke's. Ms. Priestly Siffert is also an active orchestral musician. She has performed with orchestras including
Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Houston Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra dos Sonhos and the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra.
Her former positions include second oboe with the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra (2001-2003), co-principal oboe with
Orquestra Sinfonica de Mineria (2003), and principal oboe with Orquestra Classica da Madeira (2003-2007). She is currently
principal oboist of the Houston Grand Opera and Houston Ballet Orchestras, a position she has held since 2008.

YAHLI TOREN ist eine der bedeutendsten Sängerinnen in Israel. Ihr Repertoire umfängt etliche Stile, von Barock bis
Avantgarde, und auch nahöstliche und judeo-spanische Volkstraditionen. Bei Konzerten und Festivals tritt sie oft als
Komponistin erfolgreich mit ihren eigenen Liedern auf. Sie studierte mit wichtigen Professoren und erhielt ihre
Ausbildung an der Rubin Akademie für Musik in Jerusalem und an der Universität der Künste in Berlin. Frau Toren ist
bereits als Solistin mit etlichen grossen Orchestern aufgetreten, und erscheint oft im Radio und Fernsehen in Israel und Europa. Ihr Ladino
Liederabend mit Saxophonist Tobias Rüger erhielt kritische Würdigung in Portugal, Deutschland, England, und Israel. Das Konzert wurde
in Portugal im Fernsehen landesweit ausgestrahlt, und ergab später eine CD. Frau Toren erscheint regelmässig mit dem Musica Nova
Ensemble für moderne Musik in etlichen Theatern in Israel. Yahli Toren ist als Lehrerin sehr gefragt. Sie hat ihre eigene besondere
Lehrmethode, in dem sie die Stimme, Bewegung, Atmen, und Schauspiel mit dem Bewusstsein und Selbstvertrauen verbindet. Sie ist
Dozentin an den Haifa und Tivon Musik Conservatorien, und auch an den folgenden Schulen und Theatern in Tel Aviv: der
Schauspielschule des Seminar Ha-Kibbutzim, der Nissan Nativ Schule für darstellende Kunst, und dem Bikurey Ha'yitim Ensemble. Frau

Ms. Toren has performed as soloist with several major orchestras and appeared on radio and TV broadcasts in Israel and Europe. Her

broadcast on national Portuguese TV and later recorded for a CD. Ms. Toren appears regularly with the Musica Nova Ensemble for
contemporary music as well as various theatres in Israel. Yahli Toren is a much sought-after teacher. She has developed a unique teaching
technique based on the inter-relationship between voice, movement, breathing, and acting, with self-awareness and confidence-building.
She serves on the faculty of the Haifa and the Tivon Music Conservatory, as well as the following schools and theaters in Tel Aviv: the
Drama Department of Seminar Ha-Kibbutzim, the Nissan Nativ Performing School, and the Bikurey Ha'yitim Ensemble. Ms. Toren is

Regeln / Rules
Um für alle MusiklagerteilnehmerInnen ein optimales Lern- und Lagererlebnis sicherzustellen,
gelten für die Goppisberger Musikwochen die folgenden „Lagerregeln":
1. Pünktliche Teilnahme an Einzelstunden und an gemeinsamen Proben und Konzerten
2. Einhalten der Hausregeln der Hotels und Gruppenhaus
3. Nachtruhe für 17-jährige und jünger 22 Uhr, für ältere LagerteilnehmerInnen: 24 Uhr (ausser an speziellen Abenden)
4. Kein Alkoholkonsum für unmündige TeilnehmerInnen.
In order to offer all participants an optimal learning and camp experience, the Goppisberg Music
Festival and academy have adopted the following "Camp Rules":
1. Punctual participation at music lessons as well as at the rehearsals and concerts
2. Keeping with individual hotel's house rules
3. 17 year olds and younger must be in the hotel at 10pm, older participants at 12pm
4. No alcohol for minors

Die Anmeldung wird innerhalb von drei Wochen nach deren Erhalt bestätigt.
Das Goppisberger Musikfestival und Akademie behält sich vor, Lagerplätze anderweitig zu vergeben, wenn die
Anmeldegebühr oder Lagergebühren nicht rechtzeitig überwiesen werden.
Die Hinreisekosten sind Sache der TeilnehmerInnen.
(Kursteilnehmer die vor dem 8. August abreisen, sind selbst für die Rückreise verantwortlich).
Kursteilnehmer die bis zum Ende des Festivals bleiben, fahren mit dem Festival-Bus von Grächen nach Zürich.
Mit der Anmeldung stimmt der Teilnehmer/ die Teilnehmerin den "Lagerregeln" und der Überweisung der Lagergebühren gemäss Prospekt und der Webseite zu und bestätigt, dass er / sie selber für seine / ihre Unfall- und
Krankenversicherung besorgt ist.
The registration will be confirmed within three weeks after receiving of the application form.
The Goppisberg Music Festival and Academy reserves the right to allocate camp slots to other participants, if the
tuition and hotel fee will not be received in time.
The participants are responsible for their transportation costs to Grächen. (The participants are responsible for the
journey back, if they check-out before Aug. 8th). Course participants that stay till the end of the festival will be travelling
with the festival bus from Grächen to Zurich.
By applying, the participant must accept the "Camp Rules" and agree to remit the camp fees as stated in the prospect and
Website. Furthermore, the participant must confirm to have sufficient health insurance coverage for illness and accident.
