ROMANS 11:33-36
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His
ways!
For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been His
counselor?
Or who has given a gift to Him that He might be repaid?
For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be
glory forever. Amen.
OPENING SONG: Grace And Peace
Grace and peace
Grace and peace
Grace and peace to you
From God our Father
QUESTIONS FOR BAPTISM
COMMUNION
• Do you acknowledge Micah’s need of Jesus and the renewing grace of the Holy Spirit?
• Do you claim God’s covenant promises on his behalf, and do you look in faith to the Lord
Jesus Christ for his salvation, as you do your own?
• Do you promise, in humble reliance upon divine grace, that you will endeavor to set before
Micah a godly example, that you will pray with and for him, that you will teach him the
doctrines of our faith, and that you will strive, by all the means of God’s provision, to bring
him up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord?
To the Congregation
• Do you as a congregation undertake the responsibility of assisting these parents in the
Christian nurture of Micah?
Guidelines: The sacrament of Communion is also called the Lord’s Supper or Eucharist.
It is the family meal of Christians. It is for all who are willing to forsake their sin and trust
in Jesus Christ for salvation. The invitation to take the bread and drink from the cup is
from Jesus Christ alone, not from this church or any minister. As such, to partake in this
sacrament there is only one requirement: you must be able to call yourself a Christian.
That is all, nothing more.
Gluten Free: For those of you wishing to partake in Communion with gluten free bread,
it will be available in the small dish as you come forward.

My Soul Finds Rest
OUR OFFERING
My soul finds rest
In God alone
He only is my foundation
My rock, my peace
My fortress strong
I will ever love and adore Him
At Grace Pasadena, we do not pass a collection plate; rather we use this time of reflection
to consider all that we have and all that God may be asking us to give. Please take this time
to reflect on what God may be asking of you with regard to your financial gifts, personal
time and even vocational calling. For our regular attendees and those wishing to help Grace
Pasadena financially, there is a box located near the main entrance under the cross in which
you may privately place your offering after the worship service concludes or during the time
of communion. You may also mail your offering to our address: 56 E. Holly Street, Suite 200,
Pasadena, CA 91103.
Great God of love
Jesus His name
He only is my salvation
And on the cross
He bled and died
And He took my sorrows forever
SCRIPTURE READING
All Your Works Are Good
SANDRA MCCRACKEN
The moon it marks the seasons,
The sun knows when to go down
The ocean holds its creatures,
The river knows its bounds
He makes the clouds his chariot,
He wraps himself in light
He stretches out the heavens,
Like a tent across the sky
The birds, the trees, the cattle,
And all things great and small
We find our place in creation,
Your hand sustains it all
He knows our every burden,
When darkness veils our eyes
He comes with spring returning,
Bringing death to life
All your works are good
All your works are good
From everlasting, to everlasting
All your works are good
As we labor until evening,
There’s a message on the wind
Be still and know your maker,
Be satisfied in Him
MAVIS STAPLES
Every step of the way
I found grace
If I lead or follow, change my pace
I get tired, lose my way
My Lord, He knows me every step of the way
My Lord, He knows me every step of the way
May the peace of the Lord be with you always
And also with you!
GREETINGS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
SONG OF COMMUNION: Every Step
Justin Bailey
Hebrews 11:32-12:3
11 32 And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak,
Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets— 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34
quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out
of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. 35 Women received
back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so
that they might rise again to a better life. 36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and
even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were
killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted,
mistreated— 38 of whom the world was not worthy—wandering about in deserts and
mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39
And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was
promised, 40 since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they
should not be made perfect.
12 1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also
lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance
the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is
seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
3
Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you
may not grow weary or fainthearted.
Every step of the way
I found grace
If I lead or follow, change my pace
I get tired, lonely, lose my way
My Lord, He knows me every step of the way
My Lord, He knows me every step of the way
Every step of the way
I found grace
If I lead or follow
Change my pace
I get tired and lonely, lose my way
My Lord, He knows me every step of the way
My Lord, He knows me every step of the way
Every step of the way
I found grace
If I lead or follow, change my pace
I get tired and lonely, lose my way
My Lord, He knows me every step of the way
My Lord, He knows me every step of the way
My Lord, He knows me every step of the way
CLOSING HYMN: Doxology

Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Amen

Seeking not to understand
but strength to do Your will
Seeking not to be heard
but to hear the still small voice
Seeking not the answers
but to trust the Solid Rock
Seeking not to feel Your touch
but to know that You are
near
Seeking not to work and do
but rest in who You are
Seeking not Your movement
but the movement of my
heart
Seeking not to suffer less
but to suffer more like You
Seeking not escape
but to walk along the way
Seeking not to see the end
but to see me as You do
Seeking not to help myself
but help for what You’ve called
me to
Seeking not to grasp but to be held.
ANNA LENARDSON
Evil’s cause is never more in danger than when a human,
no longer desiring, but still intending, to do God’s will,
looks round upon a universe from which every trace of
Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been
forsaken, and still obeys.
