the Registrar, to be placed in the student's official academic folder.
Doctoral students must register for 8985/8986, "Dissertation Defense", whether registered for credit or not.
Master's Students must register for 8976/8977, "Thesis Defense", if their department requires a thesis.
In the event that the student does not fulfill graduation requirements as planned, the student will receive an incomplete
and should not register for the defense in a subsequent term. Fees will be retained.
