2 JOHN, 3 JOHN & JUDE
“LITTLE LETTERS WITH BIG TRUTHS”
The short epistles in the New Testament are over in a flash
for the reader, but they are tiny treasure troves of truths
preserved to encourage, excite and edify the church. We
look forward to having guest preachers with us as we go
through this short sermon series.
2 THESSALONIANS
“WAITING FOR JESUS’ RETURN”
Much ink has been spilt over the future event of Jesus’
return. There seems to be almost as much confusion today
as there were in the Thessalonian church millennia ago.
This sermon series will be our opportunity to have God’s
word shape the way in which we wait for Jesus’ return.
1 PETER
“UNMISTAKABLE”
In his first epistle, Peter has much to say to Christians who
are going through social, non-violent suffering. He urges
us to go on living unmistakably Christlike lives, always
giving glory to God, and looking forward to the eternal
glory we will share with Christ.
JUDE 1:24-25
To him who is able to keep you
from falling and to present you
before his glorious presence
without fault and with great joy –
to the only God our Savior be
glory, majesty, power and
authority, through Jesus Christ
our Lord, before all ages, now
and forevermore! Amen.
2 THESS 2:13-14
But we ought always to thank
God for you, brothers loved by
the Lord, because from the
beginning God chose you to be
saved through the sanctifying
work of the Spirit and through
belief in the truth. He called you
to this through our gospel, that
you might share in the glory of
our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 PETER 1:1-2
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,
To God's elect, strangers in the
world... who have been chosen
according to the foreknowledge
of God the Father, through the
sanctifying work of the Spirit, for
obedience to Jesus Christ and
sprinkling by his blood.
