Many of you will know Mrs Lyndsey Aizlewood, Junior teaching assistant, Librarian and IT technician, and her son George, in Year Three. Lyndsey’s husband, Mark, had a heart transplant in June and for charities week we would like to change Team Aizlewood to Team Greenbank. To read more about the charity and Mark’s story go to www.newstartcharity.org – icon top right – patient stories. A representative from the charity, along with Mark, will be talking to the children about the work they do. Look out for the sponsor forms and thank you for your support. Parking on the yellow zigzags continues to be a problem with many serial offenders – please make the effort to walk so that the flow of traffic is not disrupted. STAFFING We are delighted to welcome Mrs Denise Proud who will be joining Greenbank on Monday at HR & Operations Manager. PRESCHOOL & RECEPTION VISIT WACKY WOODS On Wednesday 15 April Preschool and Reception visited Wacky Woods in Adlington for a fun filled day in the woods. We enjoyed many activities including a nature walk, collecting objects on a magic string, making fairy houses, printing leaves on material and adventure playground. The highlight of the day was toasting marshmallows on the camp fire! SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR 7 – 13 MAY The book fair will be held in the Orsborn Room and from 5pm in Peter Rabbit room. Early Years and school buy all their library books with the profits from these fairs so please support generously. If you are able to help at the fair please sign up at the office. Y6 OLIVER PRODUCTION At the end of Y6 we get to produce a play and this year it was called Oliver Twist. It was a brilliant play and we all enjoyed doing it. We loved all the songs and my favourite part was the Fagin’s Den, when we picked Fagin’s pocket. I also liked the finale when we sang lots of songs.
