Action/Indications
For regular grooming and control of fleas (Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalis canis) and assist with control of
adult brown dog tick (Ripicephalus sanguineus).
Does not control paralysis tick (Ixodes holocyclus).
VETSENSE FLEA SHAMPOO is a mild gentle shampoo for regular use in animal’s grooming, containing natural
Pyrethrins to control fleas and lice and to assist in the control of ticks.
Pyrethrins are extracted from chrysanthemum flowers and act as rapid knockdown contact poisons to fleas, ticks and
lice. They have a non specific neuromuscular toxicity for insects, but very low level of mammalian toxicity.

1g/L pyrethrins, 10g/L piperonyl butoxide,
Warnings– May cause dribbling and unsteady gait in cats. If one or both occur, wipe off excess product and contact
a veterinarian.
Directions for use
Firstly wet coat with warm water. Apply 20 to 50mL of VETSENSE FLEA SHAMPOO depending on the size of the
animal and massage into coat. Rinse. Reapply shampoo and work up a good lather. Rinse again. Repeat application
a weekly intervals to obtain maximum protection from fleas, lice and ticks. It is also important to treat the pet’s
bedding and/or kennel with a flea spray (VETSENSE FLEA RINSE diluted as directed on the label) to prevent re
infestation.
