Contestants will be drawn between 12:15pm – 12:45pm
A whistle will sound once to begin eating. Strictly no sneak eating before the whistle.
Each contestant will be expected to consume an evenly filled plate of spaghetti with
tomato sauce within 2 minutes or less.
A second whistle will sound at 2 minutes.
Upon the second whistle all contestants must stop eating from the plate.
Only tomato sauce or water may be used to “moisten” spaghetti.
Plates must remain on the table.
No breaking up spaghetti – you could be disqualified or your plate replaced if caught
before timing begins.
ALL spaghetti must be consumed.
If spaghetti falls off the plate, it must be eaten.
If too much spaghetti ends up on the floor, you may be disqualified..
If any spaghetti “returns” during the 2 minutes competing time you may be disqualified.
At any time during the 2 minute competition, if a contestant feels the need to stop, they
may do so and may be disqualified.
The mouth must be “spaghetti free” by the judges before the contest begins.
The contestant with the best OVERALL time wins.
One overall time for 1st place and one overall time for 2nd place will be kept.
Individual times will not be kept. The 1st and 2nd to finish the most spaghetti at 2 minutes
are the winners of the age bracket group.
The winning contestants will each receive a Griffin Spaghetti Champ T-‐shirt.
Each participant will also receive a participant certificate with their name.
The judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
ALL contestants under 18 years of age must have parental / guardian written consent.
STRICTLY no participation will be allowed without written consent. Please provide
contestant identification on day of competition.
Contestants under 18 years of age MUST have a parent / guardian with them at ALL times.
The food products being used are not allergy or gluten free.
