Grove House School March Newsletter Architect’s plans agreed for refurbishment of site The Education Funding Agency have proposed an extensive refurbishment of the Grove House School site on Sawyers Hall Lane. Their designs for the school have been agreed by the Trust and INFORMATION MEETINGS AND SITE VISITS Information Meetings will be held at the Brentwood Cathedral Hall for interested staff/parents to find out more about the plans and meet the team of staff and Trustees: 5 May 7.00pm - 8.00pm 8 May 1.00pm – 2.00pm Site Visit – The Headteacher will lead an informal walk around the outside parts of the site on April 22 at 10am. All welcome – see arrangements on page below . . . contractors will be appointed within the next few weeks. The modern building (pictured) will provide spacious classrooms, offices, therapy rooms and changing rooms for year one. An adjacent building will provide specialist accommodation for the Occupational Therapist, enabling pupils with sensory processing difficulties to receive Sensory Integration therapy. Work will be completed in August ready for the first wave of pupils to start in September. SENIOR MANAGERS APPOINTED The Trustees are delighted to have appointed exceptional candidates as Deputy Head and School Business Manager. LINDA NEWTON, Assistant Head of the Endeavour School and SUSAN SCOTT, a highly experienced School Business Manager will join the Senior Leadership Team in September. WORK IN PROGRESS . . .
