Listed below are the options available for the 2014 Junior Recreator program. Please review the
list and check those you are interested in. Please understand that we do our best to meet your
interests, but that there are limited spaces available. A specific schedule and description of each
event will be discussed at the Parent Meeting. Also, you will leave the Parent Meeting with your
own summer schedule. Be sure to consider any vacation plans or times when you might not be
able to get transportation to the various activities or have other commitments.

Day Camp Activity Group: Palmer Park - June 15th – July 31st 1 hour each day
Put your skills to work and help Kristine as you plan activities and host mini-events for our little Palmer
Park Day Campers! You must be available as many weeks as possible. Every Wednesday and Friday.
Times are to be determined.
Port Huron Museum (Must be 14 years or older)
Tour Guide at Huron Lightship: Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 1:00 pm and 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Mid-City Nutrition Program at St. Martin Church (Must be 14 years or older)
Help make a difference by preparing and serving food at the local soup kitchen.
Monday – Friday 8-12:30. Many different shifts available.

The above list is meant to be used only as an example. It does not guarantee that these spots will
be available. Also, other volunteer opportunities will be available at scheduling time.
Attendance at a Parent Meeting is required in order to be a part of the program. Both the
student and the parent must attend one of the following meetings. You MUST call (810)
984-9760 to R.S.V.P. to the meeting.

time without getting paid. At the end of the summer, if I have completed my schedule and received
honorable points, I will be eligible for a trip with the other Junior Recreators. I will attend an upcoming
Parent Meeting about when/where I will be working and the details about the program.
