The story of Bharat Calling
Why I am here?
Started by person who was not able to pay of the
school fees, could not avail bank loans, secured
low percentage in schools, discouraged by
relatives to study further- motivated by parents, did
part time jobs, topped university
Started as a pilot in 2010 with 50 rural interior students with small scale
research
First comment on ground- by a Teacher- “Since 14 years of my teaching
experience I have seen hardly passing school exams forget about getting into
any prestigious college
80% of students have never boarded train- Summer Camp finding
9 out of 10 students drop out at school level in India- M.L Sisodiya (J.H.E 2009)
69.1 % guardians were illiterate – Finding of summer camp 2013
