Program will be open as long as vacancies are available, with the exception of the following
departments whose deadlines for registration, entrance examinations and the submission of
Matriculation Certificates and other required documents are specified below:

The deadline for submission of High School Diploma or Matriculation Certificate is August
31, 2015 with the exception of the above mentioned departments.
For your information: Application forms will be considered upon their arrival at the
Registration Office, or on their internet registration date.
Other departments will end registration with no former announcement. All departments
reserve the right to end registration before the given deadline, in case all vacancies have been
filled. It is recommended to apply early!

Applicants may forward their SAT results as a substitute for the Psychometric Entrance
Examination.

Knowledge of English- The English Placement Test within the framework of the
Psychometric Entrance Examination or the English Proficiency Test (AMIR/AMIRAM)
determines the applicant's level of English..
The minimum score required for admission to the University for the academic year
2015/2016 is 50 on the Psychometric/AMIR/AMIRAM exams. Applicants who are
exempt from the Psychometric Entrance Examination must take an AMIR/AMIRAM
exam as one of the admission requirements for classification levels. Each student must
reach the "Exemption" level in order to obtain a Bachelor's Degree (see table below)

Note: A student who was admitted with a "Pre-Basic A" or "Pre-Basic B" level will be
conditionally admitted and will have to reach the "Basic" level until the end of the first
year of study.
The Departments of Communication Sciences and Disorders, English Language and
Literature, Law, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, "Psychodali"
program and Social Work require different level of English.

test), time schedule and registration please contact the "Mechina" Pre-Academic

4. Knowledge of Hebrew:
Applicants who take the Psychometric Entrance Examination in a language other than
Hebrew and graduated from high schools where the language of instruction was not
Hebrew, must prove satisfactory knowledge of Hebrew before the beginning of the
academic year by passing a Hebrew Proficiency Test (YAEL) in the framework of the
Psychometric Entrance Examination. The score required for admission to the University
for the academic year 2015/ 2016 is at least a minimum of 120 on average between the
two sections of the Hebrew Proficiency Test YAEL (the "open" and the "closed"
sections).Applicants with scores that range from 90-119 on the YAEL test and their
Psychometric score was at least 500 will be conditionally admitted and will have to pass
the Hebrew Proficiency Test (YAEL) at the required level by the end of the first year of
their studies.
Please note that some of the departments require a higher level of Hebrew. For further

www.nite.org.il.Applicants who are exempt from the Psychometric Entrance
Examination and who graduated from high schools where the language of instruction was

5.
Additional requirements: Some departments have additional admission
requirements such as interview and/or departmental entrance exam and/or age
limitation and/or different level of English and/or different required score at the Hebrew
Proficiency Test (YAEL) and/or special mathematical requirements

will not be sent out for the departmental entrance examinations.

(Cash or postal orders are not acceptable.) The above fee does not include payment for the
Psychometric Entrance Examination. Applicants who have not enclosed receipt of payment
with their registration form will not be considered.
Registration fees are not refundable and are not transferable from year to year.

- Applicants can take the exam only after registering for the program.
- It is recommended to take the exam as early as possible following registration.
- It is necessary to register to the Entrance Exam at: http://harshama.haifa.ac.il.
The University does not undertake to consider applications that will be submitted to the
Registration Office after the deadline of registration dates as cited above.
Applications will not be considered without the required certificates and documents which are
to be signed by the issuing authorities and forwarded by the submission deadline.
Candidates whose certificates and documents will be submitted after the set deadline dates
will be considered only if there are vacancies in the departments.

INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN ENGLISH
(Full Degrees)
The University of Haifa has announced a forward-looking vision for internationalization that
entails a unique partnership between the various faculties and departments of the University
and the University of Haifa International School (UHIS).
The International MA programs reside in the respective University departments, offering first
rate courses of study over one to two-years of study. The courses are taught by leading
international scholars, who are part of the University of Haifa Faculty.
