Today’s baseball games against Pentwater will be rescheduled. TOPPC is offering a chance for students to share what they think their future will hold and for them to be published in a book. You can compose a poem, drawing or a short story answering the question "What does the future hold for you?" This piece of writing must be school appropriate and the writer may be anonymous. We will be choosing the best piece (and if you submit with your name) you could win a $35 Visa gift card. Turn stories in to the box in the office by April 15 or email them to [email protected]. Any student wanting to Dual Enroll should have their paperwork in to Mrs. Miller before spring break. Any student who Dual Enrolled for the first time this winter through MCC or is planning on Dual Enrolling at MCC this Fall will need to take a new student orientation on March 28 @ 9 a.m. If you cannot attend this orientation, you will need to attend one of the other orientations during the week. Application resumes will be due Friday, April 10, to Mr. Ramseyer before 3:15 p.m. Attention Seniors: Please bring in baby pictures or any other pictures for the slide show to Haley Walsworth. It is a tradition at Hart High School to pay class dues. Dues are used to fund prom, graduation, and other class sponsored activities. These activities can cost nearly $200 dollars, but class dues keep the cost of these activities near $60.00. Each student needs to pay their dues in order to attend prom or walk at graduation. Paying each year keeps students from having to pay all dues to attend prom. You can pay dues all at once or over the course of three years. Each student needs to pay $60.00 total or $20.00/year. Students can turn dues in to Mrs. Weesies, Room 15, and will receive a receipt with their payments. There will be a University of Michigan spring open house on April 11 from 12-3:30 p.m. for sophomores and juniors. Please go to umdearborn.edu/springopenhouse for more details. Attention Hart High School--Let's Dance! Footloose--Prom 2015 is just around the corner on April 25, 2015 from 8-11 p.m. Tickets go on sale April 13 at both lunches. Cost is $25 (free for HHS seniors.) A reminder to all students: Dues must be current to attend prom. Check with Mrs. Weesies for dues information. There will be a Michigan Youth Leadership Training Camp July 26-31 in Greenville, MI. The cost is $20 and the camp is available to seniors and juniors. Please go to www.miylt.org to register. Seniors who are still working on Scholarship essays: There will be a Scholarship Essay Writing Workshop at WSCC's Writing Center, Room 754, 2nd Floor, Schoenherr Campus Center, on April 18 from 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Betty Lorenz Nursing Scholarship is available to any senior going into the medical field. Pick up an application from Mrs. Miller in the office. Deadline is April 15. There will be a summer leadership camp for girls grades 8-12 in Traverse City from July 29thAugust 1st. This camp is put on by the Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore and the Michigan Women's Foundation and will offer girls the opportunity to participate in work shops facilitated by women leaders in business, philanthropy, and elected office. We meet every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school in the Media Center until 4:30. English II Tutorial and Remediation Group (ETRG) meets every Tuesday at 7:45 a.m. in Room 23 unless there is a staff meeting.
