Business Description
Mumford Business Program (MBP) is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program
dedicated to introducing students to the world of business, by providing 21st century
business and technology skills and knowledge. The concepts learned will enhance student
consumer decision-making skills, prepare them for future employment, and help them to
become more effective citizens. Upon program completion, they will have gained a better
understanding of important business concepts that will prepare them for future high school
and college business courses and provide information needed as future entrepreneurs.
MBP is in alignment with the mission and vision of Mumford High School.

Vision
To create a Universal Design for learning that offers rigorous and robust on-demand learning
anytime/anywhere through a curriculum that is inclusive and effective for all students.
Goals & Objectives
Enroll only students who demonstrate an interest in Business Management
Create student organization, register and compete in business competitions (BPA, Skillz USA
and/or DECA)
Take 2-3 field trips yearly
Have at least 6 students participate in the Oxbridge Academic Summer Study Abroad Program.
Fundraise: field trips, student organizations and summer study abroad
