Mary Jo Peckham Park – Katy, Texas April 4, 2015 Rules of Tournament 1. Age categories are as follows: 2‐5, 6‐13 & 14‐17 years old. 2. Shirt given by HBCD must be worn at all time while fishing. 3. Jr. Angler are only permitted in areas of where the event is held. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. HBCD shall furnish Jr Angler pail, hook, bobbler and bait. Baits brought from outside of the park Area will NOT be allwed. NO EXCEPTIONS! This event will be a catch and release of fishes. (Catch fishes, weigh‐in and throw back in water) It is up to the parents to allow the child to take home the fish. Participants are responsible to notify HBCD Bass Anglers of fishes in pail to take for weigh – in and release the fish immediately. This will prevent dead fishes. Jr Angler participants can catch any number of fishes regardless of size of weight unless as instructed by Park and State regulations. It must be release immediately after weigh – in. Parents of Jr. Anglers younger than 6 can help their child cast their bait into the water and assist In reeling in the hook. Encourage Jr. Anglers to do everything themselves without assistance as much as possible. Jr. Anglers are encouraged to be spaced out along the fishing areas. Jr. Anglers are responsible to return pail back to HBCD afterward. Awards will be given to 1st place, 2nd Place and 3rd place winner in each categories. Prizes will be given as well. Any display of unsportmanship by a Jr. Angler, Parents or outside person toward HBCD Officers or committee will be disqualified from the event and asked to leave. Chairperson of the event will make the sole decision among the HBCD President. It is important safety comes first for the kids and that all to have a great time.
