Total volume (Q1 2015 over Q1 2014) is up 23.72% and the average sales price has climbed to $186,826! Units sold (same period) show an increase of 13. 7%. This is welcome news and as the old adage proclaims, let’s make hay while the sun shines. Thanks to all who attended last months Lender/ Vendor Fair. We had a fantastic day of meeting and greeting with our Allied Associates and met our RPAC goal for the first time in years. Many thanks to Billie Green for her innovative game of chance that brought in over $800 at the luncheon. Don’t miss next months meeting where we will be discussing the upcoming changes to the closing process. Beginning August 1, 2015, the lender will be responsible for completing the closing documents. The current Good Faith Estimate and Truth in Lending will become the Loan Estimate and must be provided within three days of application. The HUD1 and Final Truth in Lending will be combined to become the Closing Disclosure Form and must be provided to buyer three days prior to closing. For a preview of the changes, NAR has provided the following resource. This is a quality video, however the discussion that will take place at the July meeting will be important to your business so please calendar the meeting. Video: HUD-1 Going Away: Understand New Closing Forms, Procedures Understand the New Closing Procedure As our volume increases and our pace picks up, it is easy to let SAFETY slip from the front of our minds.
