Cardio Conditioning This class combines aerobic and anaerobic drills to improve cardiovascular fitness, agility, and coordination. During the class the heart rate will be elevated throughout various moderate to high intensity movements. Group Circuit Training Increase your strength and aerobic fitness with a variety of different exercises that target specific muscle groups. Patients of various fitness levels are welcome. Knit Night Learn the basics of this creative and relaxing craft. Learn the fundamentals of yarn, different needle types, casting a project, basic knitting stitches, and how to knit in the round. Look Good…Feel Better Sponsored by the American Cancer Society, this class teaches female cancer patients beauty techniques to manage side effects of cancer treatment. This monthly class is held in the Altaview Conference Room. Massage Massage is a healing therapy practiced around the world. It can help relieve muscle tension, reduce stress, and bring calmness. We offer several different types of massage including Swedish, craniosacral, Jin Shin Jyutsu®, and lymphatic drainage. Pilates Flow through a series of dynamic movements that restore balance to core muscles of the lower back and abdominals. WELLNESS-SURVIVORSHIP ACTIVITIES Resistance Training Enjoy a full-body workout in this class that will target major muscle groups using dumbbells, mats, resistance bands, and exercise balls. Step Into Life Dance University of Utah Tanner Dance professionals teach creative dance as therapy for the mind, body, and spirit. HCI patients of all fitness levels are welcome. Tai Chi/Qi Gong If you’re looking for a way to reduce stress, consider tai chi. Originally developed for self-defense, tai chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that’s now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, tai chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. *Monday morning classes will meet in the lobby of Red Butte Gardens at 300 Wakara Way, weather permitting. Yoga Increase flexibility, balance, range of motion, and muscle tone while improving mood and well-being.
