Permits will not be provided:
• While prerequisites are still in progress
o Example: If currently enrolled in CHM 1045/L we cannot provide a
permit for CHM 2046/L until you can show a final grade of “C” or
better
• If an evaluation is pending and has not been
approved
• If a permit request has not been submitted
Permits can be provided:
• Prior to your registration date
• For courses not yet in DegreeWorks as long as you
submit the required documentation with your
permit request

Pre-Med Information:
• The Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) is
changing in 2015
– There will be four sections – two on the natural sciences;
one on social sciences and one on social
sciences/humanities.
– There are two important courses to help you:
 Research Design Methods - ECH 4931 which covers reasoning skills for the natural
and social sciences
 Bodies, Minds, Society & Health– ISS 3930 or SYA 4930- covers content and the
four skills for Section 3 of the MCAT- Psychological & Social Foundation
(see a detailed handout in your folder)
